I played golf at the newly refurbished (opened yesterday) Del La Vista golf course. Great job. Greens and tees are in perfect shape. Cart paths all smooth and new benches on every hole. Seen sand hill cranes, an eagle, and bear scat on the course. Shot plus 2 - good day for me. Then across the street to Tierra Del Sol restaurant for a late breakfast, chocolate pancakes - yummy. Got a kick out of a group of ladies from some sort of club wearing black leotard outfits with pink aprons. I was too shy to ask what their club was but they sure were having fun. The bloody Mary's and mimosas' were flowing just fine. A stop at town next to walk around and take in all the very talented crafters and their goods. Then home for a nap (much needed and enjoyed). A quick trip back to town with my bride to watch TAT2 first set in the bandstand. Best of all I just finished a sausage sandwich with peppers and onions.
Can you beat my day ? Still living the dream.

Fought a bunch of Confederate Rebels today at the Florida Horse Park, and believe it or not, they were still carrying the Confederate battle flag in spite of all the political flap. :pepper2:Today we won, tomorrow when the spectator crowd is larger, they win.

Good to see these kinds of threads every so often...to remind us of what a great life we have here in TV...whether your thing is sports, entertainment, arts and crafts, shopping, reading, etc.
Pickleball in the morning, followed by golf at Mangrove, and lunch at Evans Prairie (steak salad was delicious). Home after 3pm to relax, watch some college football and catch up on TOTV. A fun day...

In the morning I relaxed at home, my wife made eggs, toast and hash browns for lunch. Went to Saddlebrook for a 1pm softball game, I play shortfielder for Amelia 4 and it was really hot in the field. We beat Bridgeport at Miona Shores 8 -1. Came back home and spent the rest of the day relaxing, watching football and catching up on some shows I recorded during the week, such as Elementary and How to Get away with Murder. Had planned on going to Brownwood to see Uncle Bob, but we didn't feel like going back out, sometimes rest is good.

Fireboy and I played El Santiago today with the beeeeg golf holes and still had difficulty getting the ball in the hole.
Note to self: If you haven't played golf for six months, best not to golf with others for a while.
I wonder if it's best to hit balls at the driving range, practice putting, or take lessons.
(I already know the answer - all of the above).

Sunday is couple's golf for us . My bride and I tied our best friends thus we retained the trophy from last week. Off to our house for the usual Sunday feast. Started with Manhattans made with a smooth Canadian whiskey and a french vermouth with just a dash of northern New York amber maple syrup from our local Mennonite neighbors up north. Hors DE Orv's with our drinks consisted of a smoked pepperoni we hand carried back from northern NY made by our local Mennonite meat market. It's more like a super sod - to die for. Some very aged provolone cheese, sliced cooked polish sausage, roasted peppers in virgin olive oil over Ritz type cracker. A homemade Greek salad with lots of feta cheese and hot baked garlic cheese bread sticks. Choice of moscato or lambrusco for the main beverage. Entree was lemon marinated (24 hours) chicken that I seared this morning on the grill at 8 AM then finished in the oven by baking just until the pink was gone - oh so moist. This was served over a bed of linguine fini el dente smothered with lemon basil cream alfredo sauce. We paused there and had an aperitif of our first batch of homemade limoncello this year. We then moved on to desert - mini chocolate eclairs and mini bitter chocolate carmels with sea salt. Ended with a demitasse of espresso and a smigit of anisette. Man can my bride cook. On my way to the square to walk some of this off. It doesn't get any better than this.

Golfed Velushia and Turtle Mound and needed my destressing medicine because I had trouble with topping the ball. Sat on back lanai and saw a herd of coyotes with monkeys on their backs ride past all the lanais. They were whooping and a hollering and I didn't have time to yell at them much less look them in the eye which I hear is the worst thing you could with a monkey and also the best thing you could do with a coyote.

Been there - done that. Reminds me of CCR "Looking Out My Back Door"
My lanai is on the 18th green of a championship course. Many a distressing medicine made me think tomorrow I break par. Keep living the dream partner.
