At this time of year when we all gather with family for Thanksgiving, we are asking you to "Save the Leftovers" - the poor babies that are often left behind at animal control. Many have injuries or ailments that can be addressed, but it takes funds to do this. Poodle and Pooch Rescue is a 100% donation driven organization. There are no county or government funds given to PPR.

Many of you here have adopted your little angels from us and a donation of $10 would help greatly. This can be done online at Dogs for adoption from our Rescue in Orlando FL (http://www.PPRfl.org) and just click on the "Save The Leftovers" Campaign link. If you would like to see some of the dogs we are taking in, click on the Save A Dog tab. Also please visit our In Recovery page to track their progress.

Thanks to all of you in advance for anything you can do to help. We just took in another large group of 24 dogs from a breeder in addition to many others.

We could also use more fosters if you can open your home for a little one. Details are also on the website.

Thank you for thinking rescue!!

I don't see the "save the leftovers" tab on the website.
Could you please post the address to which we should send donations. Thanks.

So far our total for " Save The Leftovers" campaign has topped $6771. A BIG thank you goes out to many of you here on TOTV for your $10 or more donations. Our goal of $10,000 is within reach and we have a generous donor who will step up and add another $2500 if we reach our $10k goal.:bigbow:

A few more days remain, so if you can, please go to Dogs for adoption from our Rescue in Orlando FL (http://www.PPRFL.org) and on the HOME page, top left corner, click the link under the pie to donate.

Thank you for thinking rescue!!

Another Leftover Saved!

Petals was saved by a little girl. Mom was driving and her daughter yelled from the back seat "Turn around, there's a dog behind the dumpster!". Mom turned around and there was Petals, a Shepherd mix. Scared, skinny, no hair on her long tail, and so stinky but oh so sweet. Petals is with our vet now, shown above getting a lyme dip for mange. She was full of worms, mange, heartworms and her teeth are worn down from chewing on cage bars. These are the dogs you save when you donate to the Save the Leftovers Campaign. You have raised $8,410 so far. We are $1,590 away from our goal of $10,000. If we meet our goal, the Fireball Run Team Sanford will donate an additional $2,500! Please donate at Dogs for adoption from our Rescue in Orlando FL (http://www.pprfl.org) to save dogs like Petals that need a little extra care. Thank you.

The last slice of pie on our chart was a big one and we exceeded the $10,000 goal in our Save The Leftovers campaign. The final total is $10,360 plus another $2,500 kicked in by a special donor in Sanford, for a grand total of $12,860. These funds will be used to rescue dogs that often get left behind at animal shelters throughout Central FL due to their special medical needs.

Thanks to all of the generous donors here that help us to help the fur babies. You never let us down....

Enjoy the Thanksgiving holidays with your loved ones.
