Menu? What kind of foods? Do they have a signature meal, item?

Hooray! Their "road kill", which is nothing more than a good sized hamburger steak covered with grilled onions, cheese and mushrooms (I order it sans cheese and mushrooms) is my favorite. That is actually outdone by their hot rolls with cinnamon butter which I use as both an appetizer and a dessert. Couple that with a "loaded" salad with honey-mustard dressing and I'm in heaven.
My wife always gets their 6 oz. sirloin. Also delish. . . . .
The Roadhouse will soon likely be one of "your" favorite restaurants.

They opened one in our town in the SF Bay Area years ago and the first waiter we had seemed to be of eastern European origin and he said his name was Spartacus - hard to forget that name!
It's OK to throw the peanuts on the floor.

The Town of Lady Lake benefits and all the area residents. Roadhouse is a "medium-high low in" steak house similar but better than the old Bonanza and Ponderosa steak houses. It will do well in this area.

Cody's and Texas Roadhouse are pretty much the same...Although, I believe I like Texas Roadhouse a bit better...
Menu's are very similar...

Watch out Longhorn they do much better on call ahead seating.

Like Cody's , the Texas Roadhouse gives vets 10% off their entree year round.

Big difference between menus and a total different setting. Longhorn shouldn't be affected once the newness has settled.

Been to both, like the steak at Longhorn better, but love the peanuts and the cinnamon rolls at the Roadhouse. Decisions, decisions! :-)

:1rotfl: Thanks! I thought it was BOTV. :icon_hungry: In a "Pool" I would have taken 'day one' and I would have lost. It's not even open yet.

Just a heads up to the folks that are allergic to MSG (Monosodium Glutamate). I have severe reaction to it. It's in everything at Texas Roadhouse....everything!
In contrast, it is not added to anything at Longhorn.
Isn't it strange that Texas Roadhouse feels they need to add this flavor enhancer, when Longhorn doesn't?

Very true- how do you think these steakhouses manage to get fair pieces of meat to taste above average--tons of salt and or msg--remember Adolph's meat tenderizer. After eating a steak tenderized with msg--your tongue will feel like you walked across the Sahara starting about 2 in the morning. Real steakhouse use prime meat aged about 3 weeks.

The only problem we have with Texas Roadhouse is if Clermont is any indication, they are not open for lunch Mon, Tue, Wed or Thur. I use to see Outback operate the same way but starting serving lunch here about a year ago. Last week we went to Outback for lunch and it was packed. Ruby Tuesday, Chilis, Longhorn and just about everyone else is open for lunch nowadays. I can't understand establishments that can stay closed all day until 4pm.

Unless they plan to have you park in a dirt lot, like you might do at a roadhouse in Texas, they ain't ready to open tomorrow.

Don't get too excited yet. This post is appearing today for some reason BUT its was originally posted on 11-11-15. Based on this post they must be behind schedule since there is no parking lot yet. My best guess would be another 2 weeks (Mid December) or so.

I called the company a few months back and they said it will open in March.
I can't wait for Roadhouse as it is my favorite. Love the rolls, salad and lots of their main dishes.

By reading the messages on here I would have thought the place would be open by now so I called and got the phone number for it to call ahead seating for tonight. Turned out I was given the restaurant manager's personal cell phone number and he said the new location in Lady Lake won't be open until March. So much for dinner there tonight. I guess I will be going to Longhorn.

Every steak I ever got at Longhorn had lots of gristle...I've been to the Texas Roadhouse in Clermont a few times and no gristle....great steak and good prices. Texas Roadhouse wins in my book!

Just maybe if you had talked to the contractor rather than running into him he would have been able to give you a better date for the true opening......:mmmm::wave:
