Having a friend over from The Plantation, which is in nearby Leesburg. As most of you know neighboring counties cannot be given a guest pass, therefore can't play golf here. So I am south of 466A, where are reasonable places to play outside the bubble that are close by... and what are their fees?

The guest passes allow people to play the exec.courses for the guest fee. There is a price they can pay to play the Country Club 18's - no guess pass needed. :coolsmiley: I think there is something about an arm or a leg in the fee. Maybe your first born too. :1rotfl:

if you haven't tried it....google "golf courses near The Villages"...yes it's not info from someone who lives here, but it's not like you know them either.

Simply book him in at TV as your guest. He (or you) will pay a small fortune but he needs no guest pass.

On the Country Club Rates page http://golfthevillages.com/images/2015-2016Rates.pdf they have all the rates broken down. Since you're in the new area, Belle Glade for a priority resident is $31, for a resident who's not a priority member it's $41. So everything who lives her pays one of these rates for Oct, Nov and Dec.

Everyone else there are two categories, living outside of Lake, Marion and Sumter Counties you can apply for a guest pass and the Non-Resident Guest rate is $51, however if living in Lake, Marion or Sumter Counties you are not eligible for a guest pass and are considered just a Non-Resident and the rate is $56. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Take a look at GolfNow for rates available in the area. Hot Tee Times are usually the cheapest.

Red Tail in Sorrento near Mt Dora is fantastic. Very reasonable florida resident rate.

Juliet Falls is a beautiful course, can't comment on conditions as I have not been in over a year.

$56 to play Belle Glade and the convenience of loading your guests clubs on your cart and meeting the ladies later for drinks and dinner at the Club -----priceless IMHO.

I have a friend here in The Villages that plays often at Plantation and says it is a very nice course and it must be inexpensive or he would not be playing it.

So perhaps you should play there and have your guest to The Villages to dine in our restaurants.

When I don't play in The Villages and don't want to travel far I like Eagle Ridge.

I agree. That is the reason I play in The Villages most of the time.

Palmer would run a Plantation full time resident non snowbird $62.00 that is the most your guest would pay at a villages championship course.

I would recommend Baseline It is in the phone book located on Baseline road. It was designed by a landscape Architect

Friends played Juliet Falls a few weeks ago. Excellent condition. One of my favorites.
