Hi.........
Last week My Doctor from New York suggested I undergo a "Nuclear Stress Test". The results returned a Positive result, Then underwent a Angioplasty where I had 2 "Stents" inserted in the LAD portion of my Coronary Arteries. I need some feedback on A Cardiologist practicing in the Villages. I can't keep traveling to New York to meet with my Doctor. I do need to find someone knowledgeable, and reliable. Can anyone out there suggest a Cardiologist? Thank You for your feed back...........

Started seeing Dr. Robert Kersh of The Villages Health Specialty Care.
His number is: 352-674-8700. Not sure about the Nuclear test but it's a start.

Hope this helps.

I've known Dr Kersh for 20 years. (From my days in Ft Lauderdale/Weston). He's an excellent cardiologist and a very personable physician.

Dr. Inamdar, Heart of The Villages in Spanish Springs. Literally saved my husband's life last May after another cardio doc missed serious markers. Very knowledgeable, up to date on the latest, spends as much time as needed with patients, practices at both TVRH and Leesburg. 352-674-2080

I see Dr Saluck at Citrus Cardiology. I'm very happy with him except that he keeps insisting that I lose weight and eat right.

Citrus Cardiology appears to have quite a staff. An excellent facility also. Dr. Attanti gets my vote.

If you are a healthy heart patient, any cardiologist in The Villages will do. But if you have a condition greater than high blood pressure, go to Shands in Gainesville. Could save your life.

Agree with selection of Dr. Saluck. He never rushes you out and probably will talk to you all day if you let him. He's from Pennsylvania.

FloridaGuy, I see this post is almost a month old, so this may be old information. With some of the recent changes to the Villages Health system, you may need to check which Doctor will accept your health insurance.

i had my heart transplant at the U of Penn hospital and they recommended Shands for my continuing care. the transplant was 11 years ago, I have been going to Shands for almost 8. TVRH turned me away twice for small procedures because of my heart history...don't think I want to go there for a heart issue except in case of emergency. that is not saying that there aren't some excellent doctors here as others have noted.

I agree. He caught that I had afib when I was in the hospital for a minor stroke. It had gone undetected for well over 20 years, including testing and recovery from a prior stroke. Minor correction though, you have his name reversed - it is Vinod Miryala.

Dr Courtier at Hearts of The Villages has been treating my husband for about 5 years. He is the best cardiologist and his entire staff of professionals. Highly recommend them.
