Cannot believe The Villages would hurt the military families that have protected us for how many years. Now they want to take away their benefits. Shame on them.

I don't have my Mother anymore, so this really doesn't affect me, but I too am aghast that anyone would disallow Tricare For Life. My Dad was 21 years in the Army, so basically, so was she. It's not an easy life sometimes for those serving AND their families. We moved often, and it wasn't always a picnic to do so. Hard on my Mom and hard on the children. I think it's a disgrace if they truly are disallowing this, but I've read it several times, so am assuming it's true.

There are plenty of good doctors in TV area. No need for Villages Health and UHC. Some of best doctors in area are probably not in the Village Health system. Just ask around. I have a primary care and specialist who never rushes me out during an appointment. Both have said they will talk to me as long as I needed.
Forget what you hear about TV health drs being the best.

Just a guess. If they don't accept Medicare they won't accept TFL?

Haven't we beat this to death....there are plenty of providers that accept TriCare, I am a vet, don't have TriCare but did move here with another Health Plan that they don't accept......should I be upset? I suspect there are other Vets that have other plans that they don't accept....should they be upset? Go find a health provider that does accept what you have if it works for you. By the way, it only impacts new people coming in, if you are a member of the system and have TriCare there is no change.

IMO, if the Villages Health System decided to accept every insurance plan EXCEPT Tricare/Tricare4Life, these complaints would be appropriate. But that is not what happened. They have a model that provides doctors and patients with more time. Other systems have reduced appointment times to get as many patients in as possible to offset the reduction in reimbursement rates. Plus, they grandfathered in those with Tricare4Life who were already in the system, at least for 2016.

Facts, facts,facts--- why do you resort to facts when rumors and conspiracy theories are much more interesting.:MOJE_whot:

Succinctly put! This is no different that the early days of the system when it was by invitation only and then restricted to certain neighborhoods. Then as doctors and clinics were added to the system, membership was increased.
We have TriCare for life...my spouse is in The Villages system, I am not. My nose it not bent out of shape.
