I used a contractor for a room expansion, who is so irresponsible that I am considering hiring someone else to complete the job. He has collected most of the money, but not all of it, however he will not return to compete the work.
Does anyone know of a concrete person who will do a small job on short notice?
I also need someone to do a small vinyl siding repair.

I used a contractor for a room expansion, who is so irresponsible that I am considering hiring someone else to complete the job. He has collected most of the money, but not all of it, however he will not return to compete the work. For a while he would say he was sending someone over, but they would not come. He now will not answer my calls or respond to text messages.
His name is Johnny Mellado. He uses SMI or San Mella as his company name.
Avoid him. It has been twice as long as he promised and he is still not done.
He is good at selling his services and at collecting draws, but terrible at finishing his work and does not tell the truth. He will promise you anything to shut you up, then do nothing.
Does anyone know if there is an agency that I can complain to in order to force him to finish the work?:ohdear:
Have you contacted Seniors vs Crime?

After contacting Seniors against Crime, you might want to call Villages Home Professionals. They call back, arrive on time, do nice work, cleans up and left us "happy campers". I would recommend calling them and having them come by and take a look at your project. 352-551-3400 or 352-636-8543. They advertise on TOTV. They are residential and commercial building contractors. As their name says, "professionals".

We had a frustrating experience with a handyman who kept making appointments to look at the job, but was a no show. Don C is recommended by others on TOTV. I can say Cunningham is good at excuses and not showing up.

It is unfortunate that a few bad contractors give decent contractors a bad name but that is the human experience. I have witnessed contractors who have taken longer to add an extension then the people who build new homes here for the developer.

When it comes to contractors, service providers, health providers etc it is a crap shoot in this community the likes I never had seen before

I opine others can decide

So why not say who the contractor is?

Do you want others to get scammed?

Try calling Brian Terry Vinyl for the vinyl repair.

We had contracted with T&D for a small concrete pad for our grill, under 100 sq ft. No problem in getting it done in quick time for such a small project as ours. Quality was the best and their project manager checked on the work to make sure we were satisfied with the finished pad.
