Just had a pool installed and the zoysia grass was destroyed by the heavy equipment. Any suggestions whether sod can be replaced this time of year and if yes, can anyone suggest a landscaper to do the job?

Sod is layed year 'round here at new home sites and it does quite well but you have to consistently water it.

T and D did our pool and they replaced the sod as part of the deal.

Pool contractors/other contractors usually replace any sod or landscape damage done as a direct result of the job.

For my two cents worth.
It is far easier to work with nature rather than against it. Th Empire zoysia goes dormant in the cold. It naturally wakes up in April so that is the best time to have it installed.
As suggested in another post you need to keep new sod watered. Sod is grass with most of the roots cut off. Normal roots should be 8-10 inches long sod is sold with about 1 inch.
The builder does not and the GARDEN LANDSCAPE PEOPLE do not either. For best long term results you want to spend the time and the money to add organic matter to the sandy clay we are stuck with. I suggest you cover the area you are needing to apply sod to with minimum of three inches of manure or compost. That is roughly 50 lbs per 100 sq ft. Manure is far less costly by the truck load than by the 50 pound bag

I agree!! They did some sod replacement for us, grass was saturated by poor drainage and died, we got the drainage problem solved and they came in and re-sodded, grass looks great! Very good company to work with.
