I know this is a hot topic on here and I just tried looking up previous responses to no avail. So please spare me of telling me to do a search, as I'm a bit frustrated. We are having a bear of a time with health insurance. Neither of us are old enough for Medicare so we have quite a battle on our hands. We first had United health care but the premiums went up so much that it became unaffordable. We now have US Health. After seeing our regular MD once, need one prescription and seeing our dermatologist once, we've discovered that US Health pays little to nothing on our claims. We are very discouraged with the health care system in general and wonder if anyone could give us some words of encouragement and maybe if you have a plan that works for you, you could share what it is. We are not sickly people but need our annual checkups and maybe a prescription a year, which our insurance Pays pennies for. I need an MRI and the insurance will pay "up to" 300.00! Really? MRIs can be thousands. I'm afraid I'm letting my health go because I just put cant afford the care. We cannot wait to turn 65!!! Ok.. I done ranting. Thanks for listening.

We were in the same situation as we retired with Cobra which will stop soon. I urge you to call Andrea Oster with Florida Blue. 352-242-6800. She guided us through the AFC process and picked the best plan for us. We will be paying considerably less, with $0 deductible, and $2,000 max out of pocket per person. It's better insurance than what we had on Cobra.

I have sent you a PM.
