This may be one of the best gambles ever but if the local squatters and druggies discover this unoccupied and unprotected property, it may be the most expensive thing she has ever purchased....

Doesn't look like a bargin to me...looks like it should be condemned, and she will have to pay property taxes until it sells. :(

Beady, exactly my point. This is going to be the most expensive two bucks she'll ever spend. It won't be long before the City fines her for all sorts of things stemming from unauthorized occupants making it their home and shooting gallery. In addition, you can bet that all the doors, plumbing, and lighting fixtures have already been stolen from the property.

EBAY does have some good looking investment deals though. I have watched for years. Do a search on EBAY for Florida real estate. If I had money to invest, I always said it would be in real estate. But when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose!!!! always liked that saying! I like the home in Everglades City on ebay....taxes and insurance could be the killer, though.....But what a spot!!!

OH. I am relieved. When I saw the title, I thought some grumpy person from TV was going to go on and on about how his toilet flushed funny.
Whew. I hate when that happens.

Me, too.
As someone once said, "When you hear the toilet flush and the words "Uh-oh," it's already too late."

A friend visited recently with her child. She took the child into our bathroom and, when she flushed the toilet, it didn't stop. Not until there was 2 inches of water in the bathroom which ran out into the hallway. Now when she visits, she never flushes.

Tkret, I don't think there is anything wrong with that place that some lace curtains and a pot of geraniums on the front stoop wouldn't fix...

You know, Peachie, that's a clever idea. I never was one for a decorating eye. Thanks for the tip.
And njgrann, I should have written it more clearly like this: As someone once said when hearing the voice of their 2-year old in the bathroom, "When you hear the toilet flush and the words "Uh-oh," it's already too late."
