All of congress should be held responsible for the fall of the United States of America. It's going to happen unless something changes soon. With the unwillingness to defend the country and congress not wanting to go against the current administration. They have betrayed the American people. And as for the democratic believers such as Reid and Pelosis they should be the first removed from office. I never thought I would see the systematic destruction of America that I am seeing. I hated history when I was in school but know understand how important it is. Prison would to good for criminals we have in Washington.

Until and unless we the people begin an over whelming, consitent campaign TELLING congress what we want there will be no change in the business as usual mode in Washington.

The silent majority is a major factor in the behavior in Washington. The elected in Washington count on the apathy of the average American that allows them to do whatever they want while in office...with no fear of retribution.

The special interest and minority groups get away with much more response from elected officials because they have somebody in the representatives faces every day.

Would anybody like to venture a guess out of the 100,000 ++ population here in TV how many write their congressman? Who write to Obama?

I will start the guesstimating off with 10% or less!!

Congress seems to be under the impression that the only way for them to justify their existence is to produce more laws and spend more money. Just once, I would like to see them go one term without making more restricting laws or throwing away money on research of mating habits of frogs, or solar energy experiments, or subsidizing abortions and birth control. I wouldn't mind if they would cut back on foreign aid and military aid. I have no problem with their spending on defense, because that is the only mandated charter in the constitution.
To summarize, I would rather that congress do nothing than to make more useless and restricting laws and wasting money.

They will only respond to either their largest contributors or voting block that will get them re-elected.
They do not represent the people who voted for them.

Congress mostly made up by lawyers or Lobbists feed. That's what lawyers do, make Up laws so they can keep the lawyers welfare system going, we get paid no matter what.
