Twenty-seven churches in our community have joined hands to assist the less fortunate by creating a clearing house where needs and resources can be identified. This organization is called Love, INC (In the Name of Christ)and is part of a national organization. One of their pressing needs is cash. They have been given the opportunity to open an upscale thrift store at the south end of Baylee Plaza on 441/27 north of The Villages called "Centsible Furnishings". Here's where we can help each other.
If you have any decent furniture or household items you no longer want, we can take them off your hands. If you had a garage sale and still have some nice items left, we can take them. If you're having a meeting or party and would like to do something good for yourself like cleaning out your closets of items not used since you moved here, we can take them, but no clothes please. If you cannot get them up there, we can pick them up. Small items can be brought to the shop during open hours M-F 10-5 and Sat. 10-3. For pick up of heavier items call the Love, INC office at 352-750-2080.
All the profits will go to people in our community who need it. We are just volunteers working there which keeps the payroll down! Come visit us!

Borjo, I will definitely keep this in mind. Will try to visit the thrift store soon.

Do they want clothing as well? As I'm unpacking I'm realizing I have so many clothes that are too good for Goodwill but would love to donate them to someone who might need upscale working clothes. Please let me know. Thanks, Kathie I.

No, Kathie, no clothes at the Thrift Shop....BUT....they will be taking them at Lady Lake United Methodist Church on 441/27. Take them in the morning where the offices are located. There's a parking lot nearby. Thanks, Kathie.

The website www.freecycle.com is nation wide and is person to person. you have to register with your area which for us is Ladylake, clermont and sumter county. You post what you have or need and if someone needs it they will pick it up. I've picked up things that were at the curb for garbage and posted them.

The store is up and running. Just a reminder. We need good second-hand furniture, linens, decor items. Drop them off anytime during business hours. Too big? We'll pick them up. Think of us before you make a new purchase. We may have it at half the cost! Inventory always changing. Can't beat the prices.
