4 pumpkins, 2 on each side of the driveway near the garage door, various sizes. Okay picture it - Round, orange, and puppy antics. Found one pumpkin in side yard. Pronounced DOA, 3 others found same location in critical condition discovered next to grandsons kite that was also elevated high enough inside the garage (I thought) that appeared to have sudden impact with ground. No need for accident investigation team. Landfill bound. I love my dog, I love my dog, I love my dog, I love my dog....

Did she gaze up at you with a "who, me?" expression in her eyes??

She probably heard Ward Cleaver's quote...."We are never too old to do goofy things." Think of the fun she had before she was busted.

Let's see -- they're orange, they're round, they're outside. Yup, they're play things for doggies. ewwww ... Soft round things. Let's squish 'em up and get rid of 'em.

Hmmmm, flying thing. Didn't I try to get the tail on that before. Jump! Missed. Jump higher. Okay, one good running leap -- GOT IT!! Take it ouside. Make it fly so I can chase it? It won't fly????? Can't chase it this way. Leave for Daddy. He'll make it fly.

Gotta love Sadie. Thanks for the update.

Perhaps we should create a Sadie Mae fan club or give Sadie Mae her own thread.

Question to F16 - do you drive our poor poor adorable Sadie Mae to do all of these things?

The frickin dog is mentally challenged. And so am I for getting a puppy but would you believe she's 1 year old today? And look at the laughs we've or should I say YOU'VE had about her. Hell she was even on our local Cincinnati news last winter. Yes Conn8757 she gets regular treats. Just think what fun she be in TV. OMG help me Lord!!!!

F16, you never talk about your "second" dog .... the wonderful Patience.

We have a similar situation. There is "Bad dog Brutus" and "Good Dog Biggins". Biggins get totally taken for granted because he is so perfect in every way. We are always so focused on trying to figure out how to deal with Brutus, and his eccentric behaviour and his inability to deal with the fact that he is, in fact, a dog.

Gee Bare ya aint gonna let me live that name change down are you? LOL Our little rescue dog "Patience" that looks like a black fox, is a mind reader and minds VERY well. Although she's VERY attached to mrs F, she will obey my every command unlike, sigh, someone else. It's really astonishing how quickly Patience accepted us. And she's definitely a ladies dog. When mrs F leaves the house in the morning, Patience goes into "Sadies" cage and sleeps. And don't let cage fool you. The dog bed is inside the cage and the door remains open. I have tried to "Capture the moment" when both have been in there asleep but failed. And once in TV Sadie and I will see you at the dog park. Little ms Patience will remain home.

Hope to see you guys soon.

Wiw, I love that video, that dog is so smart.

Somehow I think the video dog is more like Patience than Sadie Mae.

Not that Sadie Mae isn't smart, after all she picked F16 for an owner.

Hmmm, isnt that always the way? The bad kid gets all the attention and recognition, but of course there are no Bad dogs,we all know that! Sadie Mae just has issues brought about by something in her upbringing! Think back 16, anything come to mind?

by the way, did you rescue Patience from a shelter? If so, you are to be commended, :coolsmiley:

F16 - I hope you read Marley & Me. Sadie Mae makes me laugh like I did about Marley in the book. It was one of the best books I remember, but then I always had a yellow lab that walked me too. I should say ran me until he wanted to sniff something, then we stood there for five minutes til he got his fill of it. Thanks for sharing all the stories about Sadie Mae - if we all ever get to TV, I offer to babysit her while you and Mrs. F go back home to visit. I am good at spoiling dogs. (she may look like a little fat sausage when you get back, as my dog always wanted a tootsie pop when my granddaughter got one. He could hold it upright between his paws.)
