Cost of Comcast X1 Entertainment System Upgrade

Just before we left for a trip North for the holidays, Comcast contacted us by phone that they want to send us the X1 Enterainment System equipment upgrade absolutely free. She insisted that it was no additional cost to us forever, etc.

So the box is here and before we install it....is it really at no additional charge?
I've read related posts and threads about how great it is but cannot find anyone who has mentioned its cost. What gives?

I always play the phone game with them every year and get a new promo rate. The one I had recently was $20 cheaper the first 6 months.

So after that I called them and told them I wanted the same rate locked in for 2 years and the new X1 system.

No problem they locked me in at my old rate for 2 years and sent me all new equipment.

You don't have to lock in a new rate they will send you the new equipment at no charge and you just take the old stuff back to the office in Summerfield no wait there.

But the new X1 is a great upgrade with voice remote, new DVR functions and more.

I have TV, Phone, and Internet my total bill with all the equipment service and taxes and fees is $175 month. They now include Starz with the basic Digital service.

I upgraded the first month had a few extras because I had them do the instalation and the demo. After that my rate went DOWN slightly over my old service bill and I now have more options and a MUCH better picture,

Installed Comcast's X1 over 6 months ago and to date find it is a good product

I only have Comcast internet $49.95. With my last bill I received a price increase list for 2016. It says for 2015 X1 price is N/A. For 2016, will get a beer, your phone, sit down and read the price increase list that came with you last bill. $XXX.XX Price depends on what you get in the X1 package.:22yikes:

Could you please tell me what the shipping charges were? I was on a chat and they said that they could send me the equipment but I would have to pay shipping.

If I go down to the local office to get the boxes I have to turn mine in first. Not sure if I want to do that.
