It appears that the shipping boxes from Amazon are taking over our garage. I saved them in case I need them to ship things in...but now they've taken on a life of their own and are occupying more and more of the garage. In fact now they're fighting over the space that the golf balls I've picked up normally occupied.

Is this just me?

Friends, something must be done to control this proliferation of cartons. First it's your garage. Then its the utility room. Next its the top of the refrigerator, and the coat closet, and under all the beds. Then it's whole rooms. And finally, you're out in the street. It may sound cruel and heartless. It may, in fact, go against everything that you believe is sane. Regardless, someone must step forward and have the courage to say what needs to be said. RECYCLE.

I'm so glad it isn't just me! I like to keep the boxes until I'm sure I'm not going to return the item. But, it doesn't take long for them to pile up! After that, it's to recycle we go!

Break them down so they are flat. Trust me, as soon as you throw one away you will need it.

I use those empty boxes to put newspapers in for recycling

My friend got a package the other day, not from Amazon. But the box, about two by four feet and flat, contained a children's game box about ten by twelve inches. Guess they ran out of boxes.

About once a month the boxes are flattened and put in recycle.

No problem here. I downsized when I moved here, and rarely buy anything beyond gas and food! I'll buy some new clothes in about the year 2057, when I might have finally worn out what I still have even after downsizing.
