Hi there,
There's a quiz at FunTrivia.com that you may be interested in:
'How's Your Spanish Vocabulary?' -- Category: World.
You can play it by going here:
How's Your Spanish Vocabulary? Quiz - Spanish (http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?quiz=190344&ref=Taltarzac)
If you sign up (free) on FunTrivia using the link above you will automatically be set as one of my friends, and we can
compare scores easily.
I got 9/10 and should have guessed the one I missed. I do have a year of Spanish from 1985-1986 or thereabouts from the College of San Mateo. Had a very nice Stanford educated Community College Professor who also would invite her students to a Mexican-American dinner at that kind of restaurant. And there was a very attractive Medixan-American single woman in the class which kept be going to the class even if I was heading to the University of Minnesota Law School that Fall.
I lived in an apartment building with rather thin walls in Belmont, CA and there was a group of six to eight Central Americans next door who were just speaking Spanish so I wanted to get an opportunity to figure out what they were saying.
Belmont is a very beautiful little town if anyone gets around to visiting the Palo Alto, Burlingame, Redwood City area of the SF Bay Area.
