Our first family member to get accepted in Ivy League school on early enrollment to Cornell

:bigbow:

He was one of just a select few to get accepted, we are super proud.

He worked hard for it, pretty sure he's going on to medical research.

You must be very proud. Good for him. Apples never fall too far from trees.

That is fabulous! I know how proud you are - our granddaughter was just accepted to Columbia - also a first family member to go Ivy. Congratulations.

Happy New Year!

Congratulations, Jimbo. That is some achievement. These days the competition to gain entry to Ivy League schools is fiercer than ever in many ways.

They make hard on these kids, if you apply for early enrollment in one school you can not apply to any other until they accept or deny your application.

If you're accepted, then you must go to that school, if they reject you, you then have to begin the application process to all other schools you want to enroll.

But all this applications have to be submitted in the next 3 weeks.

Those applications are very detailed and require a unique essays for each, a ton of work in a short period of time.

The acceptance list is now done online all applicants log in after 5PM today and see if they made it.

Excellent, great news and a good choice. Both my wife and I graduated from Cornell back in the '70s. Its a beautiful campus (though the weather isn't the best, a typical weather forecast heard on the radio was "Ithaca weather, gray." ;-).
