IMHO, it so wrong for good dogs to be considered disposable, and end up in Shelters. Such a shame.

100% agree. Recently a 14 year old dog was dropped off at the local shelter because the family didn't have time for him anymore. The shelter indicated that the dog acted very confused, but still had time to wag his tail for people. I went over with my 2 dogs to see about potentially adopting him, however another family beat me there (they had 2 dogs also) and adopted him. It was a happy ending for Yogi and I am glad that someone else felt the same as I with giving up an old friend............
Hopefully more shelter dogs will find their forever homes....

Your post makes my heart sing. You were very kind to enquire about adopting Yogi.
And how wonderful that Yogi got adopted at 14 years of age.
