On behalf of the Postmaster of the Lady Lake Post Office, Denise Buell, we would like to wish everyone Seasons Greetings and to let you know that starting on Monday December 14th we will be sweeping all the mail rooms by 12 noon to EXPEDITE your mail. It would be greatly appreciated if you could drop off your outgoing mail by this time so we can get the mail to our plant for sorting.

The Postal Service has a lot of words and acronyms that are greek to the general public. They are so used to using them that they forget to explain them to their customers. Thanks for informing readers of what "sweeping" means. The OP should have been a little clearer.

The OP was perfectly clear. Doesn't require a lot of imagination to figure out that "sweeping" means to pick up; kind of like sweeping up crumbs on your kitchen floor with a broom.

Someone posted "??" so I thought I would help out. Maybe what was perfectly clear to you wasn't to them.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail, nor 80 degree December days shall keep the Lady Lake Post Office from it's appointed rounds. Way to go LLPO! You rock!
