I know a dog Beau and he prances for you
In worn out doggie coats
With blonde hair and brown spots, a ragged leash, and a baggy collar
The old dog park at Doggie Doo Run Run
He jumps so high, jumps so high chasing teasing squirrels
Then he lightly touches down without one
I met him in a cage at Pet Smart
down and out
He looked to me to be the eyes of very young age
as he jumped right up
He leaped for life, loved for life, he barked
clicked his heels and stepped on my toe
They said his name was "Beau" and he danced to lick
across the cage
He grabbed my pants and spread his stance,
Oh he jumped so high on my lap and then he clicked his heels
He let go a bark, let go a bark
and shook back his fur all around
Mr. Beau, Mr. Beau
Mr. Beau, prance
He danced for those at Max's Pet Connection and dog adoption days
throughout the Villages
They spoke through tears of how they'd hate to lose him
traveled about with new owners
Until the dog up and died, he up and died
But Beau would have 15 years or so before we would grieve his loss
Beau they said would prance now at every chance in dog parks
for drinks and pets and laps
But most the time he spend behind the new owners
'cause he loves more than just a bit
Beau shook his head, and as he shook his head
I heard someone ask him please jump on my lap
Mr. Beau, Mr. Beau
In worn out doggie coats
With blonde hair and brown spots, a ragged leash, and a baggy collar
The old dog park at Doggie Doo Run Run
