You heard them, I heard them too growing up and they didn't make near as much sense as they do now. Share with us some that have meaning and are smart things for the younger generation to hear; Old sayings, quotes, advice.etc.

I will start..........................

You can't learn any younger. (My uncle Ernie)

You can't screw an old head onto young shoulders. (author unknown)

We grow too soon old and too late smart. (Pennsylvania Dutch)

Save your money. (NOW there is a smart piece of advice) But where? Under the mattress?

GG, I am no longer sure about that last one. I have always been a saver and investor. When you have massive amounts of your saving wiped out in a matter of weeks, it gives you pause. But wait, you think you have diversified nicely with real estate....yeah.....
I am blessed to still be very comfortable after sustaining terrible losses. Many will not be. What a sin.

When the desire to keep working, especially long hours, is the driving force over everything else:

You can always make more money, but you cannot make more life...

This is it.

There are no hidden meanings. All that mystical stuff is just what's so. A master is just someone who found out.

This is not a dress rehearsal.

This is it.

Nobody on their death bed ever said: I wish I had worked more hours.

Our money's being spent faster than a bottle of whiskey at a Kennedy family picnic.

My favorite: Be careful what you wish for.
