Would like a review without spoilers from anyone who has seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

I have no idea when I will see this one as I usually like to wait until the crowds thin out for movies that do not have some kind of twist.

It is doing extremely well with the critics as well as in box office where it has opened already. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens*(2015) - Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/star_wars_episode_vii_the_force_awakens/)

Saw it last night. Very, very true to the originals and wonderfully enjoyable. Excellent job casting, and those back from the original movies are just exactly as you would think they would be 30 years later. Loved it, as did our daughter and son-in-law who are both movie and Star Wars fanatics and have very high expectations!

Saw it last night and in my opinion, thought the story line was weak. It introduced new characters and related to old characters. But my idea of SCI Fy is something that may not be possible but could be conceivable. IMO this was more like a cartoon where anything goes.

I guess I am getting old

Just saw the movie today. Terrific, fun and nostalgic and would see it again. No surprise if this is the biggest film ever and deservedly so. No surprise if it hits $500 million this weekend as truly 'The Force Is With It'

Like all top advertised movies I'll let the excitement build and wait for it to show up on premium cable. I was probably the last person on earth to have seen Avatar

I loved Avatar. Avatar*(2009) - Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/avatar/) Saw it after being given reprieve from Federal Jury Duty up in Ocala in a 3-D Theater. That was the case from Claremont of the Hispanic Police Officer would was being allegedly harassed because he wrote his reports in Spanish. According to papers he lost the Federal Racial Discrimination Claim.

I got booted because the Judge I suspect thought I was not being open with the Voir Dire Questions as I was not going to go into my 224 613 Project in that type of setting even though I have the documents to back it up. You cannot cover that many years up through 2009 back then of extensive experiences with the legal system. On May 19, 2014 when I had Sumter County Jury Service, I just e-mailed them a few times so as not to give the Judge (the Honorable Michelle Morley) Michelle Morley (Circuit Judge) « State of Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit (http://www.circuit5.org/c5/judges-and-judicial-officers/judges/sumter-county-judges/michelle-morley-circuit-judge/) there, the impression that I was being less than honest if it came to Voir Dire. Fortunately, the defendant accepted the plea bargain and this was supposedly a very complicated vehicular homicide or something like that case that would have involved a number of weeks (16) to try. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/villages-florida-non-villages-discussion-93/anyone-totv-know-sumter-county-clerk-courts-gloria-r-hayward-114277/?highlight=jury+duty+sumter https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/880819-post23.html

Many movies like Avatar have special memories for me.

Just saw it at the Barnstorm Theater in 3-D. Excellent movie. I may see it a few more times before it leaves the Villages. Well worth the line and the theater was only about 1/2 full at the 1:30 PM showing but had a longer line went I went out for the 4:30 PM one.

May the Force Be With You.

Saw it again on a rainy day. What fun!!! May have to see it one more time in 3D before it leaves. I have heard of people seeing this movie four times or more.

Wife and I just saw it in 2D. Don't think we could have sat through 3D. Thought the story was OK. They did a good job of knitting the old characters & story into the new one. However, as a former aerospace engineer, I doubt that the Millennium Falcon could have survived that many crash landings and still flown again. Oh wait, it's just a movie.

It should be out around April. This is one I might buy. Pity that One Blood is not giving $10 to $20 gift cards-- which you could select as Barnes & Noble-- any longer but has gone to a 5 gallon gifting schedule. Very good for platelet givers but not too good for people going every 56 days or so. I often would use these gift cards to get DVDs from Barnes & Noble.

Sadly, I was sorely disappointed. One thing that made Star Wars by Lucas so special was the humor and the obvious joy the actors showed. Neither of this was evident this time to me. The actors did their job but really didn't seem to be having fun except for Linda Hunt and I think she always enjoys her craft. The humor was, at best, inadvertent. The only character I truly felt any empathy for was Chewie and that was probably because he was always my favorite character. Disney should stick with animated princess stories and leave SciFi for the big boys.

To each his or her own. I loved this Star Wars movie. May have to see it a third time before it leaves the Villages' theaters. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens*(2015) - Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/star_wars_episode_vii_the_force_awakens/)

Director JJ Abrams was tough on his actors in this movies which may explain some lack of some of them seeming to enjoy their roles. A few of these actors are newcomers and that must be quite a challenge to meet expectations when cast in such a potential blockbuster which also has a huge fan base.

I am really enjoying all the little details in the Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens DVD/Blu Ray.
