I attended my first orientation meeting about the CDD's....while I think I might have it down pat...I am still a little confused. Apparently that is expected as the teacher told us to come back in 6-8 months...to take the "class again".
This class is given once a week on Thursday's from 10-12....VERY informative.
As I was sitting there....hearing the names and seeing face of the 20 or so people there....I THINK there may have been a few TOTV posters there....
Just curious...was anyone else there....thoughts about it...comments....
It was very informative...I still have questions and the teacher is not here to answer them....
Also did you know it was me? Why are we so shy at times?

I was there.
I was the one who asked the question: "In the areas south of 466A where the developer is obligated for the payment of 100% of all bond payments for infrastructure development (because nothing is sold yet) how slow, long and dragged out can housing sales be before there is a problem?
You heard his answer.
He said, in essence, the developer is still selling 230 houses a month (down from 400 in "normal" times) and they have a huge $$$ reserve.
Isn't that what AIG, Lehman Brothers and others have recently said?
The great thing that distinguishes TV from 95% of all other retirement communities is that 100% of all amenities are installed BEFORE the first house is sold.
The primary risk I see (don't know the odds for it) is if sales get so slow and drawn out that the developer defaults on his bond payments - will that obligation somehow be spread out to the unit (home) owners who are located in that particular Unit or District of development?

I had to chuckle at this title. I had a throw back minute and thought it said CCD Orientation and was thinking of all the years I had to threaten, bribe and cajole my 4 sons into going to their Catechism classes. I was so glad when the last ones finished eighth grade.
