The budget was a "compromise" so that they could get a budget passed. How many years did it take before congress had a budget during this president's two terms? Once there is a Republican in the White House and congress majority, we will see a tighter budget and some prudent spending cuts.

What a crock of BS. Wait until next time they have a budget vote if I understand you correctly. Next time never comes.

Obama already said he would veto anything he couldn't agree to. What do you want them to do? They don't have enough votes to override his veto. Think about it. If you are a conservative, you are ****ed. If you are a liberal, it's just an excuse to disparage the GOP. There won't be any stopping this runaway train until we get rid of Obama. Anything anyone does is construed as racist so they are not going to get into a pis..g contest with him during an election year. If you want to sacrifice the presidential election and give it to the socialist for the next eight years, then yes, we can win one battle that will mean NOTHING and probably won't even get signed.

Good post.

This is one thing that most do not understand....Republicans expected since there is a majority, they have the reins.....Democrats think the Republicans are holding things up.

Fact is, this President is pretty much "my way or the highway", does not ask for input, and announces pretty much up front he will veto, thus bills and proposals get lost or just do not happen because he has set the rules to be all his and there will be no compromise.

Republicans had no choice. AND unlike the Democrats, they do not vote automatically as the party wishes.

What they do is put their re-election hopes aside and do the right thing. There is not spit difference between Rs and Ds in house, wanting to keep office is primary with all.

What good would it do to push a good budget through, with spending cuts, etc. just to have it vetoed by Obama? Then, it would be back to the drawing board again, work through Christmas, and still not get an approval from the Emperor. Now, on top of that what would it do for their reelection chances, and that of the GOP presidential candidates? It has NOTHING to do with right and wrong, because according to Obummer, he is the only one that knows what is good for America. I had thought that his head would have exploded by now, as large as it has gotten. I still find it a wonder that they even came up with a budget. How many years under the Dem majority did we go without a budget?
