Would you have tried this back then??

I probably would not have had the guts to get in that thing.

My elementary school was named after the Wright Brothers. Any one else??

These guys were on a mission for sure.

There is a new biography that came out earlier this year. It is by David McCullough, two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. The title is The Wright Brothers.

I bought it for Mr. Boomer immediately after it was published. He read it really fast, liked it a lot.

If you have someone on your gift list who loves flying, The Wright Brothers might be a good choice for them.

Thanks for that Boomer. :) I saw a few displays about the Wright Brothers at the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museums when I was in DC in May 2015. The Wright Brothers (http://airandspace.si.edu/exhibitions/wright-brothers/online/)

I had the privilege this fall of flying into Wright-Patterson AFB to then be towed to the adjacent Wright Brothers Huffman Prairie flying field to participate in a National Park Service event. The picture shows two future aviators in my Cub ready to fly.
