I can't seem to log into the villages.net Golf site. Is anyone else having trouble or is it just me?

It worked yesterday morning but sometime Sunday it went down. I suspect they do not have staff on duty 24/7 as do many corporations in order to ensure customers concerns are addressed. So I would not expect to see a fix until sometime after personnel return to work this AM from the Holiday weekend. Like government, given they have no competition what's the incentive

I expect that you will be able to access it at 8:30 today when they return from the Christmas holiday.

You think that there would either be an emergency number or email address that someone would be assigned to check occasionally after hours just in case anything breaks - especially the online tee time system which we all pay for.

I wonder if this will effect checkins this morning at the starter shack...I have a 7:11 tee time.

You can go to your email and check your tee time.

8:45...back online. It will be interesting to see how they handle any penalty points from the outage. No problem checking in at the starter shack, but their computers were out also...still had tee sheets for today.

Let me try a little math....

110,000 homes in TV
Maybe 1/2 are golfers that use TV online tee system = 55,000
Times $8 per month = $440,000
Times 12 months per year = $5,280,000

5+ million dollars...that's a huge number.

This is the first time I have encountered a problem with the computer reservation system, it usually works quite well. It would really be nice to hear and understand what the difficulty was/is.

It went out - it was fixed. End of story. ;)

Villages.net provides more services than golf. The tee system isn't mandatory online, you can get a time by phone or just showing up. Golf on execs are then free if you walk. Those of us that use it do so for our convenience. We usually pay for services that we choose to use.

It does not matter. They provide a service. We pay for that service. We should get support for that service. 24X7.

110,000 people, not 110,000 homes

TV is a bit different but many retirement communities have 20% or less golfers. But because of our golf emphasis it would be more in TV. It would be interesting to know the real number. 40,000?? High or low?

With a few exceptions the service is fine. Most online services we pay for have occasional interruptions. Since you seem to think otherwise, would you feel the same way if the service were free?
