I was honestly a bit surprised to read this but credit CNN for publishing what is not a flattering report for either candidate, but an exert from the report since folks on here are screaming about the negative ads....

"On Saturday, October 11, CNN's Alexander Mooney reported that both the Obama and McCain campaigns are "spending about the same on negative ads."

"An analysis of campaign commercials aired over the last seven days shows Obama outspent McCain nationwide by more than 2-1: $21.5 million vs. $9.2 million. But just under half of the money Obama is spending is going toward negative spots, meaning the Illinois senator is roughly keeping pace with his GOP rival when it comes to negative commercials, in terms of cash spent," the story said. Obviously you can do a lot with numbers but if you read this board or listened to the media the last week, you would swear this was a contest between an angel with a halo and the devil himself !!!

McCain attacks Senator Obama personally. Senator Obama attacks McCain on his positions on the issues. There's a big difference!

See that is where I differ totally. Attacking and claiming that a man with no record has ties to socialists is not personal...it is his idealogy. I have never heard ONE SINGLE word about him as a man, about his wife or family.

On the other hand.......

I can tell you that in Colorado I have NEVER seen a postive McCain ad...it all started with that Paris Hilton ad....if I have to see that Ayers ad one more time I might have to turn off my TV until Nov 5th

Aren't we all sick of all the ridiculous name calling and BS stating there will be no new tax hikes How stupid do they think we are Who's going to pay for all the bailouts and greed everywhere?I truly believe you'd have to be insane to even run for presidency under these circumstances Poor Hillary She should be thanking her lucky stars she didn't go any further She slipped through another one Oh what a surprise

Back to the backyard bullying So who are the meanest kids on the block, and of course this is exactly what we are teaching the next generation of brats Get the job done no matter how evil and viligant you have to be

We've never heard what 's to be done with this mess, with the economy, and the war, and our jobs etc etc etc. So may the poor stay poor and the middle class get poor, and the rich enjoy the fruits they've always enjoyed If you happen to stumble across any tidbits of useful information from the debates give me a hollar.

I hope this isn't too ugle on the screen I am still trying to post and am not sure this was the right place to do just that Wake me up when something better happens I'll be taking a nice long nap I'm sure I was honestly a bit surprised to read this but credit CNN for publishing what is not a flattering report for either candidate, but an exert from the report since folks on here are screaming about the negative ads....

i somewhat agree with you, but most people will not see it that way. I believe Palin's remarks about "PAL'N around with terrorist" is example of personal attack. that had nothing to do with his idealogy...

The quote you cite is a bit harsh, will agree with you. I was not aware we were dissecting every single remark though....I am constantly being told on here about Sen McCain's (NOT Gov Palin) negative ads and I just plain dont see it that way at all !

Speaking of VP ...did you hear about the Sen Biden slip up when he referred to the "Biden administration"....he immediately fixed it but find that funny :)

I will be so glad when this election is over. I am not a political poster and still having problems making my decision as to who I want to be President. The one ad that really gets to me, however, is the anti-McCain ad about the 5,000 health insurance reimbursement. They say something like "it's on his own web site, he will send the $5,000.00 directly to the insurance company and not to you." Well, DUH---where else should the money go?---it is to PAY for your health insurance. If they sent it DIRECTLY to the consumer, how many would pay their premium with it? They would still be uninsured!!!!

Now dont you dare question Sen Obama...he would NEVER EVER say something decieving. Dont you know that everything Sen McCain says is racist or hate and the Sen Obama is the "messiah" and NEVER does this kind of stuff !
:)
