We are Dish Network customers and every time we accidently hit a single digit number on our remote control, it switches to the Obama channel (channel 73 here in the Phoenix/Tucson area). We're not too happy with this and filed a complaint. Does this happen to any of you in other areas?

Nope, we don't have an Obama channel here in RI. We used to have a Seinfeld-Raymond channel and now we have a CSI channel but no Obama.

I have heard about his channel. I think at this time it is localized but will be full bore right before the election. It is constant and neverending loop !

With his purchase of time on all the networks the night before the election it is going to be wall to wall Sen Obama !

If you have seen the children marching military style chanting his name on yourtube, I have been told, but cannot verify that it will be part of the Direct tv thing !

Its not just Direct TV

"Too busy playing video games to watch presidential ads on television? Barack Obama has found you, too, by becoming the first presidential candidate to buy ad space inside a game.

Nine video games from Electronic Arts Inc., ranging from the extremely popular "Madden 09" football game to the street racing "Burnout: Paradise," feature in-game ads from the Obama campaign. The ads — they appear on billboards and other signage — remind players that early voting has begun and plug a campaign Web site."

blocking system on it. It is for stuff one doesn't want their kids to view....in the case of the Obama channel....block what most all others don't want to see.
It's bad enough on network TV. Another reason why we DVR almost everything we like to watch so we can speed past all the commercials and political trash em talk.

I got a response back from Dish. A form letter saying Obama paid for the channel and McCain was offered one, too, but did not take it. And that Dish does not endorse one candidate over another. Right. They did not address the fact that one gets directed to the Obama channel by hitting any single digit on the remote control. That must have cost him a fortune, or maybe Dish isn't as unbiased as they claim. I wrote back about that, but didn't hear anything. Anyway we're moving to TV in December and won't sign up with Dish.

We have DISH and don't have the Obama Channel, darn it.
