Recently at a gathering of friends, I was amazed to hear a couple of them expound on "Mercury in retrograde." Apparently to those who follow the stars, that has happened recently and is supposed to trigger dissent and argument.

I am a Taurus and I definitely fit the bill- loyal friend, successful and definitely stubborn (my mother would vouch for that when I was growing up!). I don't go out of my way to read the horoscope in the paper but I have had it "hit the nail on the head" a few times I've read it. I've also had it totally wrong. I would never change plans because of it- mostly if I read it, it is for fun.

Hey, GG, grooooooooovy thread start.

It has been a long time since anybody has asked me my sign.

I am a Libra.

According to all that, words are my thing; I make a good partner; I see things from both sides; I am always trying to balance things; I know what others need before they do.

And on it goes.

Something about Venus as my planet, too.

All I know is that I once read a thing about how your sign influences your decorating ideas, and I have found it to be eerily true.

I have owned several houses and I tend to redecorate. Libras are supposed to like symmetry. I have planned a house. I have planned an addition. Windows must line up and balance. Oh, and I keep buying chairs in pairs.

So maybe there is something to it.

At least it is fun to read about.

Thanks GG, you're a sweetie. But I haven't seen any other Gemini's admitting to their birth month! We are a flawed bunch, flighty, easily bored and much married. Known for having dual personalities.

I could name a couple of peeps I would suspect of being a Gemini ... one of them is a frequent poster and often posts during the wee hours. I guess that is another Gemini trait, insomnia. I'll wait to see if any Geminis out themselves! ;)
