Has anyone notice there is a ace of diamonds card, suspended from the ceiling in the Old Mill Playhouse in LSL?

I am wondering if anyone knows why this was done?

Have not noticed the ace of diamond at old Mill Playhouse. We do go to movies but not that often and probably too busy buying our popcorn and getting into our seats in the theatre. There is a movie playing there now that we plan to see and will be looking for this Ace.

A friend pointed this out to me tonight and I haven't noticed it in the almost three years I have been here.

I thought I throw this out to TOTV, as someone will know!

I could contact the Old Mill Playhouse management but it's more fun this way.

That's to go along with the story that a magician played there and threw a card up into the ceiling. There is one of those plaques describing this event at the front of the Old Mill Playhouse. Cannot remember exactly where out front but believe it is near the Box Office?

Fun. I always say I'm going to spend a day at each square just walking around and reading the little folk lore plaques and business signage.

Those signs and plaques are sometimes the subjects of various trivia games played in The Villages. (Hey! Manatee Herd, maybe this is a clue for Jan. 19 trivia game! Lake Sumter Landing?)

So as not to get misinformation, you can read it for yourself. The explanation for the card in the ceiling is located in a billboard posting on the wall outside just to the right of the box office.

When it first opened in 2005 I had read this plaque and asked the ticket taker where it was? He pointed outside the exit door but I did not fall for that one and just went into see whatever movie this was. Maybe King Kong. Is the card stuck in the ceiling in the lobby when you first come into the Old Mill Playhouse??

No it is on the back wall/ceiling, going straight from the box office.

Thanks. I will have to check it out the next time I am in LSL.

Thanks. 2BNTV. Really have enjoyed the Old Mill Playhouse over the past ten years or so it has been open. I have had some very wonderful movie experiences in that theater.
