Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina definitely is one of the best Republican governors in the USA. She gave a good response to the State of The Union and it was done reasonably without anger or hatred filled talk.

Her actions to take the Confederate flag off the SC statehouse grounds after that racist Roof killed the church group was a great feat. :BigApplause:

I understand Gov. Haley is being talked about as a possible VP choice.

She won't get chosen for VP. That's nothing but fantasy. Most Republican voters are swinging to the right. They are tired of RINOS and Nikki is a moderate. Another time maybe, but not today. If they are listening to Trump, then they are mad and willing to go to the extreme to counter Obama's failed agenda. America is tired of this administration apologizing to the rest of the world, and lecturing adult Americans like they are school children. And most of America has more experience than that idiot that's never had real job in his life.

And there will be enough Americans who will not vote for the self centered, unethical, dishonest, liar Clinton for two reasons. One she represents the threat of more of the same Obama continuation of incompetence.

And secondly enough Americans will not vote for a self centered, unethical, dishonest, liar.

Curious, who do you think that Trump would choose as his VP nominee? I don't think it would be any of the other GOP candidates still on the board.

I have no idea. I have yet to guess at who the candidate would choose for a running mate in past elections. They never seem to choose from the competition, for some reason. If he wants to slam dunk the election, I would think that a minority would be a good choice, either female or Latino, or both. But, his ego may be such that he feels that he doesn't need anyone to share the spotlight with. Obviously, he will have to have someone that is submissive to him, so it won't be anyone on the same stage tomorrow. I still think that he won't be chosen, but I have been surprised before. I was surprised when Obie was elected the second time. I really didn't think that the American voter was that stupid and would have learned from their mistake. We can thank the Independent voter for that disaster. The Independents will always make the difference in a close race.

Showing your ignorance? Nimrata Randhawa is Gov Haley's birth name and this thread is about her. And she absolutely blasted Mr Trump last evening and perhaps you were unable to understand her comment, but this thread is about Gov Haley and the speech she made, so other than your automatic need to fling curse words as a evidence of your poor self control and lack of vocabulary.. Here for your further education is what Gov Haley said today about her words last evening.

"He was one of them, yes. He was one," Haley told Matt Lauer on NBC's "Today." "There's other people in the media, there's people in my state. I think we're seeing it across the country. But yes, Mr. Trump has definitely contributed to what I think is just irresponsible talk.
During her response to President Barack Obama's address, Haley remarked that during "anxious times" like these, "it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices."

"We must resist that temptation," she said.

Dear Guest: Yes she did blast Trump and it was inappropriate because her role was to support the Republican side of the State of the Union and the RNC was not happy about that move. Trump did Trump and told the media she just disqualified herself as his VP pick. Republicans didn't need that fight her role was to point aim fire at Obama not Trump

The liberal media meantime foolishly stated that the only reason she was picked to do the rebuttal to Obama SOTU address was because she is a minority woman. Progressives are on record stating Republicans are old white men who hate minorities and women and they chide Haley because she is a minority woman. DUH! Why was Obama picked twice by progressives? Two guesses and the first doesn't count

I know who Haley is and I know that she is well regarded but their are other Republican women as well who would qualify Ernest (Iowa) Martinez ( New Mexico) are two.

As to Haley's decision to move the Confederate flag..well it was popular among some but in my view this debate was just to placate minorities.

The war between the states is a fact. Southerns proudly carried their flag into battle. Southerns carried on with their pride generation after generation. Confederate soldiers were concerned American veterans and as such entitled To my way of thinking this discussion ought to have been along these lines. However progressives did their usual damage, were short sighted again and made this a divisive issue instead of how this nation has the ability to come together time after time after time. despite our differences

The problem with America today is that we do not have a sufficient number of deep thinkers and that we lean on the heavy side of collectivism..what happen to the concept and the importance of the individual

Mr. "Personal Best Regards" of the Gang of (now) Three says that congresswoman Ernst (although he did notknow the correct spelling of her name) would be a good VP pick for the GOP nominee to choose.

Joni Ernst would be a bigger liability and laughingstock than Sarah Palin was for John McCain and the Republicans would truly be looked at as out of touch with reality.

I guess you are entitled to your opinion. It appears that correct spelling is not a mandated requirement, and we all seem to think faster than we type. You think that "Ernst" is a bad choice for VP. I think Clinton is a bad choice for president, a VERY bad choice. So, if if Republicans are out of touch with reality, as you suggest, then I would suggest that liberals are either ignorant of Clinton's criminality or mentally retarded. And that is my opinion, which I am entitled to.

I have no problem with it at all. I enjoy it when the liberal starts running amok when he doesn't get his way. I just think it pathetic when he/you start crying about not getting any respect after having a tantrum of name calling. Like I said, if you can't interact with the adults, go back to the high school face book with people of like maturity. Just saying.

We have conversations on subjects and current events. If you don't like it, you divert by name calling. If that doesn't work because someone comes back and puts you in your place, then you start crying about not getting the respect you require. You get your freedom of speech, but remember we do also. I realize that liberals wish to shut down conversation by stipulating that anything that doesn't agree with them is considered "hate speech."

You should feel good that some of us don't ignore you and actually respond to your comments. Personally, I welcome your input and try to ignore your ill manners. But, I am not going to clap at rude remarks.

I may use the terms Liberals and Socialists because they are terms to describe ideology. I don't consider labels of "Tea b..ger" to be a term of ideology. That is a term of deviant behavior that is most likely something that the left would be more familiar with than the right. The term "conservative" or "Tea Party member" or right wing even, is an ideology label. You seem to consider the descriptors of "liberal" and "socialist" to be a slur for some reason and refuse to own it. WE consider "conservative, TP member" and even "right wing" to be compliments. At least, I do.

So, once again we left the subject of the thread.

Nikki Haley is a pretty good example of a Republican, in my opinion. I agree and I disagree with her on occasion. I do not expect to agree with any politician all the time. What she said about Trump was accurate and she should not apologize.

A good politician listens and acts on the voters' wishes, not making his own personal choices of what he believes is good for the people. Obama is one that thinks he knows better what is good for us than we do. I guess based on his great record of life experience........not. He doesn't listen to the majority. He thinks he knows better than the majority what the majority needs.

Obama has shown/proven time and time again that he thinks he knows better than the majority of Americans, that he in no way represents the wants/needs of Americans, that he has an agenda that he will accomplish by using, abusing or hiding behind the letter of the law.

A disappointment to the office of POTUS;
a disappointment to America;
a disappointment to his race;
an ally and supporter of all that is muslim;
proving time and again he was and remains unqualified as POTUS;

I agree, but too late to do anything about it now. The only thing that can be done now is damage control. The only way to do damage control is to stop the leaking ship first and then conduct repairs. The only way to stop the leaking ship in this case, is to keep Hillary and Sanders from getting the White House. We already have the stigma of a failed "first black president" America doesn't need the added disgrace of having a "failed first female president." America can do a lot better than allowing Hillary to represent the first female in the position. I have no problem with a Black, Female, Indian or any other minority group representing the Presidency. I just want a good or best subject to fill the position. PC is over rated and doesn't contribute to getting the job done. It's just camouflage on truth. You can put perfume on manure, and it doesn't make it a rose. It's still manure.
