When I see Rubio talk about how tough he would be wielding our military it reminds me of the movie Twins when Danny Divito would be talking big as long as Arnold was behind him. If you garnered anything useful at all from the debate, as you called it, you might enjoy watching reruns of Jerry Springer.

John Kasich is my favorite.

Ben Carson looks and talks like a wimp. He will not be on the main stage anymore. Carly Farina looks like an old hag. Santorum is just plain crazy.

Sybil is talking to her multiple personalities again.

Rubio clearly did an excellent job in the area. He is looking very professional. Trump has toned it down some and handled Cruz very well. In my opinion, Cruz was shot down in this debate and looked very fake. It may be his normal manner, but when he speaks he just sounds like a TV preacher.

All the candidates looked better, including Bush (for a change), but even though Bush looked more presidential and sounded a bit less peevish, it's too little, too late.

My picks so far, are Rubio and Trump. Never thought I would admit it, but Trump is starting to look viable now. With the market starting to dive, people might just start taking Trump more seriously now. At least the ones that are not thinking with their emotions, but with common sense.

If things level off and quit diving, I will probably choose Rubio for my pick for the nomination. He is supposed to be able to beat Hillary easily.

Loved the remark about not taking legal advice from Donald Trump.

Cannot understand why anyone would take this real estate developer/entertainer and first class self promoter even remotely seriously? And what are really his qualifications for President except for his big mouth and huge bank account?

None of his proposals seems remotely practical and we have no idea what this man is actually going to do if he becomes President. He usually just says what comes off the top of his head. We need someone with a calmer demeanor than this hothead.

And yet Trump still has more qualifications than Obama. Go figure.
His proposals not practical? Interesting that you say that. Because we have yet to see anything practical coming out of this administration in the last seven years. Two of those first years were even filibuster proof.
You have the audacity of mentioning that Trump speaks his mind, and yet Obama speaks mindLESS, with or without his teleprompt.

I figure it this way. We can't do worst than what we have now. The economy is tanking and getting ready to go back to 2009 levels, so this administration has done nothing positive whatsoever. Even our foreign policy is worst than 2009 and the national debt will have more than doubled in size by the time this loser leaves the White House.

So, we may not get the optimum politician with Trump, but right now we can't do anything worldwide without taking care of the economy at home first. And of the candidates available, Trump probably has the best resume to handle the money. And I am kicking myself for saying it. He is not my first choice, but he may be the only one able to do the job needed right now.

And to h3ll with PC. We need thick skin right now, not sensitive sissies worried about offending our enemy. If the enemy doesn't like what he says, then they can either live with it or be destroyed if they get froggy.

It is truly amazing that you would take the characteristics and traits of Obama as acceptable and use them as negatives for another candidate.

Real hypocracy.

like last time she will not be a factor by the time the democratic convention meets.

Last time it was ....she got beat by a nobody from the back streets of Illinois....Barrack Hussein Obama....who?

This time it will be....Bernie Sanders.....I will be :censored:!

He to will be set aside by the party who will find a way to draft Joe.

A truly sad state of affairs the democrats have allowed the Clinton hangover to evolve.

Been to Europe and didn't see anything there that I wanted here. I don't take much stock in what Europe thinks of us. They are the ones having Muslim problems with mass murders because they are afraid of their people owning guns. If you don't trust good citizens, then they won't trust you. Obummer is stupid because he wants us to be just like them, and he is trying to make it so. Do away with gun free zones, period.

Do away with gun free zones, period?

What does that poster think a situation of patrons of pro and college sports games were encouraged to bring their open carry handgun to the stadium?

What could possibly go wrong with that scenario?

So, you don't trust your fellow citizens to make proper choices? I bet manners would be better. Why is it with your type that always goes to the extremes? You do know that there are exceptions to every practice? How many French would have been killed if the public was allowed concealed carry? The point is, that the more guns around, the less killings. That's fact. If you want, I can provide you with stats and graphs.

"We spend billions of dollars tackling terrorism, which killed 229 Americans worldwide from 2005 through 2014, according to the State Department. In the same 10 years, including suicides, some 310,000 Americans died from guns."

I'll answer that stupid question. Because it was part of my job. Sorry if I respond harshly to stupid. I would like to blame it on the fact that I am just consuming my second cup of coffee, but that would indicate that I thought I was wrong in my attitude of my reply. Your reply to me was probably spontaneous and not thought out. Apology not needed.

I don't know where you are attempting to go with your questionable information, but you are remiss in your neglect to mention that gun related homicides is down 63% since 1993. From Pew Research.

If you are going to use totally unrelated stats to make a point, then why not add deaths by doctor - more than gun deaths, deaths by automobile - more than gun deaths, death by bludgeoning - more than gun deaths, deaths by drowning, death by poisoning, deaths by plane crash, etc.

What does the State Dept have to do with crime statistics? I believe that is more of a FBI bailiwick.

The reasoning (no logic involved here!) used is flawed but convenient.

Using that same reasoning we could be talking about the number of Americans that die from being in a hospital.

Same thought process.....same end result........WHAT?

It was a decent debate, and informational too. Now, lets watch tonight's so-called debate(more like lovefest/coronation) and see if any issues are addressed or whether the candidates(?) will again attempt to bribe votes by using the highest bidder technique.

The GOP debate consisted of:
National security
War on terrorism
Immigration
Economy
Anti-Hillary
Anti-Obama

Last Demo/socialist debate consisted of:
Free college
Ban guns
Hate all Republicans
Obamacare is great, but needs fixing already
More hate all Republicans
Congratulate each other on job well done.
More hate REpublicans

Tonight I expect:

Higher offers of free stuff
Accuse Republicans of hating women, minorities, students and liberals
More hate Republicans
More laughing and scoffing at email scandal
More competition socialism, Bernie was first out of closet.
More calling on ban of guns
More patting on backs
Foreign policy, if mentioned will get answers of promising America that they will use stren language against our enemies, and more understanding.
