Any curlers in the Villages? I played with a stone while at the University of Denver while my South Dakotan roommate Steve S., was trying to explain the game to me but I did nor really get it back then in 1984.

From linked article:

For the first time a national curling event will be staged in Florida as Jacksonville plays host to the 2016 USA Curling National Championships. Tickets are now on sale!

I can understand why they would have the National Curling Championship in Florida. It's so obvious.
Didn't Jamaica have a bobsled team?

Right on! I've been prepped doing multiple reps of 12 and 16 ounce curls. My back is feeling good too!

I have not done those kind of curls for a long time.

There is some kind of Curling Tournament in the Twin Cities' area this weekend. Hundreds Of Curlers Battle In ‘The Big Spiel’ « WCCO | CBS Minnesota (http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2016/01/16/hundreds-of-curlers-battle-in-the-big-spiel/)

I love curling, and have loved it since the first time I saw in on TV back in the 70's. I have only watched it on TV. My friends think that I am crazy for enjoying it. That's OK. I still love it, and don't consider it a guilty pleasure. I am so there in Jacksonville. Maybe a planned group trip?

Even us Catholics don't consider it a guilty pleasure. And we hold the record. [insert winking emoticon sliding down the ice]

Curling was also invented by the Scott's looking for a way to waste their time in the winter when the courses were closed. [insert winking emoticon sweeping a broom]
