I can see the guard gate from my lanai in the Village of Pinellas and believe it is ridiculous the amount of cars and business vehicles that come thru and also exit that gate. No problem if people live in Pinellas or have business to perform there but, the number is way out of normal. Seems everybody wants to avoid the leg from Pinellas Plaza on 466A and Buena Vista. Recently saw a dump truck pulling a trailer with a full size back hoe exiting at 7:15 am. If this was happening on the main artery in your Village of residence...I wonder what your thoughts would be?

TV actually has rules for the routes contractors can take. Of course, those rules only apply to the ones who do work for TV itself. A lot of folks hire contractors to do renovations and landscaping when down here during snowbird season. Obviously, this affects newer villages more. So, when you consider heavier traffic in general this time of year, more work being done in the next few months, you can expect more traffic. And, of course, folks taking Pinellas as a short cut as you said. Hopefully, things will get better in April. Sadly, I think you're in a grin and bear it situation.

Pinellas is also a public road owned by the county so the villages has no say.

Living in Lake Deaton and frequently going to Pinellas Plaza, I wouldn't even consider taking Pinellas Place as a "shortcut". It is minimally shorter in distance than 466A, but the bulk of the trip would be at 30 mph, with lots of side streets and golf cart crossings, instead of 45 MPH on 466 A. You lose a traffic light, but pick up an extra gate. I would classify that route as a "longcut"

That is true if you are taking Pinellas Place from Morse....my comment is taking Pinellas Place from Buena Vista.

Living on the same street, I agree with you and take Buena Vista to 466A then west to Pinellas Place as I don't like to drive a car next to golf carts.

We use a golf cart 90% of the time to go from Hillsborough to Pinellas Plaza. The other 10% we use the car (see I can do math). Either way we take Hendry to Pinellas and that is a short cut.

Not sure what going from Lake Deaton to Pinellas Plaza has to do with Morse? We live 4 blocks from the Hillsborough gate.

No choice but to use Pinellas Pl. with a cart. Didn't try Hendry to Pinellas by car, it does look shorter on map, but has the same problems with added gate and 30 mph timewise.
