Sometimes ya just takes your ammunition where you can get it....wonder how many folks normally use ol Howard for buffing up their position?
I actually heard this and found it disturbing and frankly embarrasing for those that were interviewed.
Still think it's funny seeing some of the folks happy to have Stern provide them with such "ammo", makes me wonder when the last last time was that they considered him a credible source? Oh well, flexibility is the key huh?

They were legitimate interviews on the street. Normal everyday people, come on, get real. Stop the spin already. You know this is legit but are so stuck on your liberal talking points that nothing else makes sense. And as far as using Howard Stern to buff up a position, I would't use him to wipe my butt or spit on him if he was on fire, he is trash on a daily basis in my book, but......these are true interviews, it is not anyone's fault they answered the way they did but their own.
Actually it shows how sad the country is as a WHOLE....that it doesn't matter who they were....guess it was similar to Jay Leno when he goes out on the street and asks questions.....simple questions....we just don't know the answers to....ok...maybe some of us do....but there are a lot of people that don't and it is just sad! But just to use the name Howard Stern as a back up does not help...perhaps if you said Jay Leno....or Letterman....or Dr. Phil....anyone....but him!!!

See, now that weakens your argument cassie. Leno, Letterman, Dr. Phil, etc. they are all entertainers just like Stern. They all are vying for the same thing, ratings. Nothing they say or do means anything, they are comics, late night talk show hosts, what kind of place is that to get your information or to get your opinion adjusted. But these were real people on the street in New York giving real statements. It is not your fault that they gave those answers even though it makes you "sad". The people who have heard the tape know that the answers are wrong because they have done their homework and are able to discern right from wrong. There are thousands of people who have no idea or any thought whatsoever what Obama is all about. All they know is that they can say they are voting for him.
I don't think it weakens anything Oshun. Stern is a disgusting person and I don't understand why people listen to him or watch him on TV. That was my point....that it was Stern....YUK!!
As far as the other actors mentioned....atleast for the most part they are wholesome types...and they have done this type of thing before...that's the only point in mentioning their names...
It was the Stern factor...:yuck:
As for the sadness....no matter who did the interview...no matter what show...it is very sad that people don't know WHY they are voting for Obama....
But I would imagine that if Stern or anyone else went to "similar" people...but were voting for McCain....and he asked why....he would hear "Because he was in the war and is a hero!"....although I would bet they couldn't tell you what war....or what happened to him....or anything about his political views. Now no one write that I am dis-respecting a war hero....I am not....but it just should not be the ONLY reason someone should vote for him.....and that is happening....
There are also people voting for him because he is a "TRUE christian"....versus what?
I have already heard these things from people in FL....not in TV's mind you....but here in FL....
SO 1st it was the Stern factor that got my attention....2nd....it would and has happened on both sides....just not on tape .....YET! ;)

You can fool some of the people, well you know the rest. It tracks acurate since with all the information put out both true and false, Obama is winning, so more power to the people that look at it all and make an in informed choice

One would think they might silence Palin as they do Biden for now. Vice President in charge of the senate. That works real good for the senators, might be why DC got locked out of senate floor many times in the past. Give a man and inch and they take a mile. That is my response to the Biden out of the media deal.
Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be. ~Sydney J. Harris

Exactly the point! Ignorance is EASILY found on both sides of this. The desperation of using these examples to try to pull credibility from one campaign simply solidifies the ridiculous nature of party politics and the lengths people are willing to go to "be right". If the situation were reversed I seriously doubt the interviews would have garnered one ounce of credibility from the same people carrying on about them now.

Instead of so many key strokes being wasted on trying to determine which negative is best defined what what credible or other wise person....let's only compare the issues of substance.
Spending time defending which entertainer is more or less valid, vulgar, honest or what ever is a waste of time.
How about a real factual discussion of who the candidates really are? Are not?
Issues that matter when they get elected?
Which one do you want standing atop the rubble after the next terrorist attack in America?
Some one please remind me the last time issues were intelligently discussed without getting into a media or partisan induced urinating contest??
If y'all were not allowed to talk about Bush or Palin you wouldn't have much to say!! IMHO

Ignorance is as ignorance does, these same people who answered the questions based on absolutely no knowledge of Obama are the same people who live in the inner cities in the states that are voting for Obama just because. Most of these cities are in New York, California, New Jersey, etc. I think most informed voters can figure it out for themselves.
Figure just exactly what? What are you implying? I really am quite interested.

Those who are voting for Obama "just because" are the same people who wait around for others to do their thinking for them, give them handouts in whatever form and are uninformed by choice about the voting process and the candidate they claim to want for president. Most could care less who the president is as long as they continue to get what they think they are entitled to. The states I mentioned are just samples of mostly Democratic states with highly Democrat leaning cities. Sorry if you couldn't figure it out, I am happy to lay it out for you.'course I'm guilty of voting for McCain because he's...... (Republican)

:22yikes:
It's funny you say that, my mother-in-law ask my husband if he is going to vote for McCain, he told her he hadn't decided yet, this was 6 months ago or so. She told him she figured he would support McCain just because McCain was a military man as was my husband. She on the other hand, being a lifelong, diehard Democrat told him that "she would vote for a chimpanzee" as long as the person is a Democrat. That just proved to us that no thought is put in to a lot of people's vote, it is strictly the party, don't give up that seat for any reason, even if it makes no sense. Doesn't that wreak of disregard for your country and the presidency, or whatever seat it may be? It just boggles the mind the things that some folks come up with but I know it is typical. Sorry for bending your ear, lol! Unfortunately, in our 2 party system that "seat" often has more power and meaning than the person in it. This is especially true in the Senate. If one believes in Republican ideals (as I do) a majority of seats in Congress often means more than who the President is. Plus, saves me time... I'm in and outta that voting booth likety-split... one pull!

I refuse to continue to argue with what has become nothing but extreme provocation.
