I need some help/opinions on selling golf clubs in The Villages. Twice I have listed 3 new hybrids(Adams and Callaway) and 1 new driver(Taylormade) for sale. All 4 have never been hit. Lets use the driver for example. The same driver sells for $215 (with tax) in any store and I am asking $110 with an upgraded shaft that alone costs $60 and not a response, offer, email, or phone call.
My point is that I previously was in the golf business and to some extent I still have my hands in it and I always go to the monthly Villages used equipment sale. There I see, lets just say overpriced, bad condition clubs being sold on a regular basis. I have never seen any club worth considering either due to price or condition.
I am open to both suggestions and opinions as I know I must be missing something.
Thank you

Have tried craigslist? IMO used or new sporting equipment hard sale to even get half you money back from private sale.

What do they sell for on Ebay? If it's more use Ebay.

I agree with Topspinmo. You are also competing with shops selling used clubs and some selling new inexpensive clubs.

Supply and demand. There is soo much golf equipment in TV that prices are very low. Many stop playing but the equipment rotates.

Possibly expand your title to be more descriptive such as "New TaylorMade Aeroburner Driver - $110" would entice more lookers

Maybe people think you are selling knock-offs. Why would anyone sell brand new ones at half price who is not a dealer? Or are they hot? (Not casting doubt on you, just my thoughts if I would have seen the ad) If you are a dealer or reseller maybe you should say so in your ad.

TaylorMade Aeroburner 9 5 Driver Regular Matrix Speed Rul Z 50 Right Hand Value | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/361468136141?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82)
What kind of shaft does it have? I'm left handed so it's not for me.

Thanks for the replies and I will address them:
1. My wife is afraid of Craigslist and I know of people with bad stories so that is not an option.
2. Prices are not more than Ebay as Ebay charges 10%, then there are Paypal fees and shipping. Thought they would sell here but Ebay is an option.
3. These are not knockoffs or hot. The driver was purchased for someone and the shaft was changed and then his wife bought him a different driver. The driver cost $150 to put together...trying to get some of the money back.
Also I am not a reseller. Not sure without looking but I think there may be a serial number on the driver so anyone could check with Taylormade.
4. The shaft in the driver is an Arthur Extreme Tour SL which is sold at Golfworks for $60. Also the driver you linked to on Ebay is used.
5. My description read: New TaylorMade Aeroburner Golf Driver if I remember correctly. May have to put the $$$$ in the topic.
Thanks for your time

Friend:
I couldn't even find your listing on TOTV Classifieds. Give me a link. I'll give you some feedback. I have some expertise in this area. Have you noted what the trade-in websites offer? Golf clubs have dismal trade-in value, thus direct resales are affected by this pricing.
Remember also, most golfers in TV can't break a hundred. They buy on price, shop at the knock-off/end of run club shops, or they buy what the pro/club-fitter mentions.
Lower your expectations.

Do you have pictures? I have found that without pictures many just move on. Just my initial thought.

I am not very good at computers and even though I agree that pictures would help I could never figure out how to add them
