RA, gastric colitis and something else. I'm stunned. To me, Glenn was The Eagles.

Glenn Frey, co-founder and guitarist for the Eagles, has died ... TMZ has learned.

We're told the cause of death was a combination of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia.
Frey had been battling intestinal issues for months and had surgery in November. We're told in the last few days his condition took a turn for the worse. He died in New York City.

This is really hard to believe, David Bowie, Alan Rickman and now Glenn Frey all in a short span. RIP Glenn.

A great musician. I remember seeing him on Miami Vice on one of their episodes during, I believe, their 1st season.

Yes Redwich. He was my favorite Eagle also. A great loss to the music world.
Although Don Hendley sang their signature song, Hotel California, it was Gleen Frey voice that carried the group.

John W. I didn't know Glenn was ill. The Eagles were the one group on my bucket list I never saw. I thought someday I'd get the chance. No. More.

Glenn is now flyin' high with another group of Eagles....up there. Eagles have been my favorite group for many years now. Their range of music was so beautifully written and arranged then turned classic. In my opinion Hotel California is in the top 10 song ever written. Sad that the group had the breakup, much like the Beatles did, but Glenn & Don did some great solo stuff too.
Ironic that TV just had (or perhaps performing soon) Alter Eagles here.

Glenn had been ill for over 2 years and late last year underwent serious intestinal surgery.

Sure hope some TV channel reruns some of their specials or TV appearance as tribute.

Saw the Eagles at Milwaukee County Stadium in 1978 during their Hotel California Tour. Quite a show. Pablo Cruise and the Steve Miller Band were the opening acts. RIP Glenn.
