After researching and contacting landscapers from this site, we chose Ron's Landscaping and were not disappointed. We were impressed by the horticultural knowledge of the owner and designer who both helped us determine the best plants for our needs and suggested a creative design. We were especially pleased with the idea of berming and mounding areas of the landscape to set the design apart from the typical flat designs of other landscapers.
What we liked most was that the ultimate choices were our own. Mike, a Villages resident, drove us around to see previous projects to gather ideas for our own. He pointed out what future growth would look like and how overplanting often just turned into an unmanageable and unattractive jungle.
The crew was honest and told us which plants would thrive in this part of Florida. Unless you have extensive horticultural and landscaping knowledge, don't be fooled by landscapers who want to take you to the nursery and let you choose what plants you like. We would have chosen many plants because they looked pretty but would not have thrived here.
We chose Ron's Landscaping for their expertise and the security of knowing they are a licensed landscaper and are fully insured.
Landscaping is a substantial investment in increasing the future value of your home. The company offering the lowest estimate is not necessarily the wisest choice.

I first met Ron while we were still snowbirds, about one year before we became permanent residents. We wanted to have our landscaping completed prior to becoming year-round. Ron advised against that because of the extra care required of the plants and palm trees when newly planted. Per Ron's recommendation, we waited and arranged to have the landscaping done shortly after our final move. Mike and his crew started the work as promised. They are very thorough and meticulous. We are very pleased with the way it turned out. We have received many compliments from our neighbors and friends for the way our landscaping turned out. Additionally, Mike is very good about service after the completion of the work. He is always happy to stop by and show me how to properly trim the palm trees or repair damage to the landscape wall caused by other contractors working around our yard. I highly recommend Ron's.
