The United States is battered and drifting after eight years of President Bush’s failed leadership. He is saddling his successor with two wars, a scarred global image and a government systematically stripped of its ability to protect and help its citizens — whether they are fleeing a hurricane’s floodwaters, searching for affordable health care or struggling to hold on to their homes, jobs, savings and pensions in the midst of a financial crisis that was foretold and preventable.

As tough as the times are, the selection of a new president is easy. After nearly two years of a grueling and ugly campaign, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois has proved that he is the right choice to be the 44th president of the United States.

no matter who wins to see how long it takes to stop the Bush bashing.
It is absolutely amazing to me how much credit he is given. It is a good thing the election wasn't last year....when the economy was booming, the market was at an all time record high, etc, etc. Oh yeah, then the campaign would have based on the wars. By the way is it a coincidence we don't hear much about the wars anymore???
Of course it isn't a coincidence...the politicians and the media don't have it as an agenda item any more, because it is too easy to get we the sheeple to only think about the really bad condition the country is in....because they said so, eh?

Whether Obama or McCain wins....do you really think either of them are ready? Is anyone really ready....

At this point we just have to vote for who we think will be the best person for the job.

And hope, pray, send good thoughts, meditate...what ever it takes....that our country gets to a better place then it is today.....

Not just better economically....but better emotionally. So many people are saddened by the way it is...and love this country with all their hearts....but there is so much disention...between parties...between people...all around the country....even right here.

I hope that who ever wins....can take us there....and has the country behind them...no matter who it is. We don't have to like him...but we can respect him and the position and office they hold.

Perhaps I am looking for the rainbow...the light at the end of the tunnel...perhaps I am naive to the "real" world....

BUT I think we all need some good to happen quick....

Again...just my opinion....

Now we give the Democrats credit for the "economy booming", "Market all time High?"

These are the same Democrats that won't take the blame because they didn't do anything to prevent the crash in the last two years.

Hummmmmmm....... Booming yes, crash no. Something went bad....Ya the flip flop.

Here is a copy of a post a few days ago about how the Demos have ran the country in the ground starting in 2006 in congress. it is from DK one of the administrators.
"Don't forget one thing. The first six years of Bush in spite of the war on terror, the economy was doing pretty darn good. The last two years after power shifted in congress is when things started going south."

Now when i read the below quote from BTK, made me think now you hear a different story since the Demos controlled congress.. that is all i was getting at. Have good one.

I agree that Obama has the intelligence to help us out of all our problems.

had anything to do with any improvements in anything. Do you forget their rating is lower than your beat up icon Bush?
The economy would have tanked no matter who was in office with the let's give everybody a loan whether they can afford it or not environment.
Any shot would be an entitlement of the writer, but please don't pretend the Democratic do nothing Congress did anything.
If he wins, let's see what it looks like one year out after all the freebies are handed out to those just sitting on their hands waiting for more.

Just how does the voting public (either party) continue to re elect the dredges that are the current incumbents?

Just shows how gullible and uncaring we the people have become.
TBO....throw the bums out is all they deserve. BUT...they know they have it made....they aren't worried one bit.
