Does everyone or most everyone have a 19mph golf cart? Secondly, if you do does it lose speed when climbing hills? Is that the norm for these carts? Thanks, Johnny

Yes, electric carts do lose a little power going up a hill (somewhere down around Havana), but, ask a gas cart driver what happens when an electric cart goes down hill as compared to what a gas cart does. Electric carts go great but slow down going up hill. Gas carts are noisy, stink like a month old sock, and use gas at a cost of 3 or 4 bucks a gallon. Take your pick. I have been in Florida for over 12 years (from New England) and have had electric carts all during that period. I like to change carts about every four years. To date, I have owned three EZGO electrics and have had no major problems. Your neighbors will love you if you have an electric and will secretly curse you when your gas starts for an early tee time. Johnny: This is exactly what I have. I have experienced the slowing down while going up hill. Seems to me it happens on a slow uphill incline rather than a short steep up hill climb. Love the electric, so quiet, so easy to maintain. So far, I'm happy with electric.:agree:

The E-Z-Go RXV electric (new in 2008) climbs hills like a mountain goat. Its AC drive motor kicks into overdrive. You can tell who's driving a RXV by the broad smile they exhibit when passing gas carts.

Thanks, one more question. I was told to charge it every night after use. Is that correct?

You will probably never have a dead battery system if you plug it in each time you finish a day of use.
