Would you know if there is a best time ( month ) to buy or sell
a house in The Villages ? I would guess that summer is very slow?
Thanks.

It is my opinion that April and May are the busiest sales months and summer is not slow.

We have bought in April, October, and November. Not sure if any were a deal, first two were new. Last was preowned. Deal or no deal it was the house that we loved. Fo

Sell it when you want to-An old expression,"Man makes plans & God Laughs"; unless you have a signed contract with God

Remember you can't square root life. Ask David Bowie !!

A couple years ago a real estate friend for The Villages said actually June was the highest at that time. Take your pick, do it when you want to.

I get market research emails from a local realtor and look at them every month. Our house was on the market this last July and since then the prices have gone way up peaking in January. They have started to decline slightly now. Here is a copy of the latest one.

I would actually say November and December are the best - When we bought in December, the market was a little slower. However it is never REALLY slow, just slightly slower.

Lyle Gant is a TOTV sponsor who posts all sorts of home sales statistics every month. Very interesting, and I would think you would find his 2015 data useful:

A Villages Sales Rep could tell you the latest thinking.
And also give you a no-obligation Opinion of Value.

The problem with these statistics is that you need to extrapolate when the listing went into CONTRACT, a variable. That would be the only true indicator of the busiest months.
