You know, I dont know if his figure was correct or not but we know that Sen Obama had over 700 million in earmarks alone in his short stay in the senate, including ONE MILLIION for his wife's hospital !

Michelle Obama was employed at The University of Chicago Medical Center, one of the finest research and teaching hospitals in the U.S. She served as the Vice President of Community and External Affairs for the hospital. As such, she was responsible for community volunteer programs, encouraging hospital employees to volunteer in the community, and to recruit local members of the community to volunteer in the hospital.

If there was an earmark for $1 million to the hospital, that was both a minor ermark as well as a very minor portion of the U of C budget.

Why would McCain need earmarks? He just pushes through bills that benefit his pals. That way they get want they want and he can still be the original maverick, along with his maverick side kick and of course, the next secretary of commerce, Joe the plumber.!
