I would like to get a recommendation for a knee surgeon who repairs knee problems that are outside the local surgeons expertise. Have old knee replacement, done back in the dark ages in Boston, which is now giving me real problems and the local knee surgeons are not too interested in getting involved. Anyone out there who has used or found a really excellent knee surgeon willing to take on real problems? This is not a cookie cutter knee replacement.

A lot of doctors won't do revisions of other doctors' knee replacements. Dr Kerina of TriCounty Orthopedic will take on tough cases. Good luck. My knees are 7 and 4 years old and I hope they last a lifetime. Dr K did mine and they were both difficult cases.

A doctor at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville should be able to do it.

I think we will probably end up there. The first surgery was done 20 years ago at New England Baptist, and we have been advised to go back there - but long way to go if we can get it down around here.
