Just noticed this on Drudge this morning.....need to read a bit more to get it into context but this is what Sen Obama is all about...you either agree or you are out. He is NOT all about compromise and never in his entire history has been although he sure sounds good when he talks about it.

PURGE: SKEPTICAL REPORTERS TOSSED OFF OBAMA PLANE
Fri Oct 31 2008 08:39:55 ET

NY POST, DALLAS MORNING NEWS, WASHINGTON TIMES TOLD TO GET OUT... ALL 3 ENDORSED MCCAIN

**Exclusive**

The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states -- and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president!

The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs -- and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Despite pleas from top editors of the three newspapers that have covered the campaign for months at extraordinary cost, the Obama campaign says their reporters -- and possibly others -- will have to vacate their coveted seats so more power players can document the final days of Sen. Barack Obama's historic campaign to become the first black American president.

MORE

Some told the DRUDGE REPORT that the reporters are being ousted to bring on documentary film-makers to record the final days; others expect to see on board more sympathetic members of the media, including the NY TIMES' Maureen Dowd, who once complained that she was barred from McCain's Straight Talk Express airplane.

After a week of quiet but desperate behind-the-scenes negotiations, the reporters of the three papers heard last night that they were definitely off for the final swing. They are already planning how to cover the final days by flying commercial or driving from event to event.

elected. Most smart businessmen will surround themselves with varying talents and outlooks to balance ones leanings.
There is no doubt there will be nothing but think alikes surrounding the big 'O'.
Then watch what happens.

I think I'd have done the same thing. If a profit-making newspaper endorsed my opponent, I would certainly decide to let them buy their own plane tickets to follow me around.

The campaign is paying for the plane, someone tell me why they should provide free seats to reporters working for media that opposes him?

Bucco, you try to make something out of nothing so often that it's almost hilarious. I wish you'd be more selective and choose criticisms from among those that actually make some sense.

Actually I believe there is enough evidence that Obama does surround himself with people of all points of view. I read an interesting article about the people he chose for leadership positions for the Harvard Law Review. Many were from the conservative student group to balance the liberal students, and very few were from the black student group. Certainly he current group of advisers reflects that same philosophy.

'O' (Opraha or Obama....just kidding!) certainly can have anyone removed from his plane. I have a couple of concerns with this: I understand the organizations pay for the seats....will they be getting money back or will the new riders not have to pay, since they are taking over seats that are already paid for? If O wanted to surround himself with people that support him why didn't he remove then from the plane earlier, why wait until the last couple of days, or was it because those papers recently endosed McCain? I thought this was a country with freedom of speech and thoughts. I am concerned that if O elimates non endorsed news groups from him during the campaigning, IF he wins, will he elimate non-endorsed news groups from his press meetings? THAT scares me....just like from what I have read (I know, you can only believe half of what you read) is that if O wins union votes will not be secret anymore. Sacrey. I hope my fears will all be nonsense if O does win the eletion.

Bucco....

Somehow you don't mention the reports that were barred from McCain's plane. Why don't you include them?

You mean Maureen Dowd? You do know who she is, right and what she writes ? Far as I know that is the only one and when you read up a bit on here you will find out why.

And as I said, and you forgot to acknowledge...I just read that and wanted to do some research on the context...but why even mention that !

.Lets blame the Developer or somebody else...could not possibly be any faults with Sen Obama.

Sorry for being sarcastic...getting tired of being bounced around for being sacreligious and the like !

I actually pray that I am wrong....it would be a great pleasure to come on here and say I was wrong, but there is NOT ONE piece of evidence to contradict my fears...of course except for his golden WORDS which change with the wind !
