A person who, in the past has had accurate information, has told me that Hooters is planning to open a restaurant in The Villages. I am told that it will be staffed by Villages women and that interviews will begin in a week or so.

Helene and all the other posters on this thread, I am somewhat ashamed to say I cracked myself up just picturing the proposed establishment. Not good!:22yikes:

Peachie,
A cyber rimshot for you! That was hilarious!
Well, I am not actually sure if it is called a rimshot, but you know that thing a drummer does to punctuate a really good punchline. Maybe it's "Bada-Bing!" Oh I don't know what it's called. I hope you know what I mean. So hard to portray in print.
Anyway, good one, Peachie.
Thanks.

I'm staying out of this one... there is NO Way I'm commenting on it. I've been called a "rascal" by one TOTV member and a "masher" by another and I think that is quite sufficient.
But, wow, wouldn't I LIKE to say something. :a040: So, I think I'll just hang around and keep reading until the football games begin and I will watch the quarterbacks, running backs, and tight-ends while the cheerleaders hoot and howl for their teams.
Made me remember that Thanksgiving Day is coming soon and I will be able to enjoy some turkey breast and leg along with all the stuffing.
Oh, Peachie, why did you start this... :clap2: ...a really great post, indeed!
thanks of the chuckle.

Peachie! That's too funny! :1rotfl:
It reminds me. There is a wonderful man that helped us hang heavy pictures, etc. And the calls himself 'The Village Hangman'
I remember telling him he should rename himself 'The Village Hungman' and he would get a lot of more business!

I cannot really see the Villagers' developers approving a Hooters at either of the town squares or anywhere else the developers have some say as to who moves into do business.
Lady Lake could be a possibility though for a Hooters??
Good joke Peachie even though my guess is that they would be hiring women of a certain propensity of not "hanging" either by natural or unnatural means.;)

I have seen quite a few Villages Residents that can certainly fill out a hooters waitress uniform properly. Besides, at my age I just go to Hooters for their chicken wings regardless who serves them. :icon_hungry:

Peachie ... I have heard that anything can be repaired or corrected with a little duct tape ..... BUT THAT, TOO! :1rotfl:
Yes, Peachie, you are on a roll today, for sure. Thanks for all the chuckles.
Graciegirl: I never went ashore for liberty during my Navy days so I cannot honestly comment on your post regarding the sailor and the girl. I spent ALL my time aboard ship reading. yeah, sure! Tell Jo, I said "tennis soon?"

How soon you all forget the "Lady-in-Red" dancing at the town square!! If she had duct tape holding anything up than it was cleverly hidden!!!

Guy that owned the Amoco station in the town next to ours in the Chgo burbs sold his station in the mid 80's and retired to Clearwater. A few years later he and some golf buddies opened a burger joint, hired some cuties and called it Hooters!

Selling a Hooters to the people of Dubai sounds about as difficult as getting one through the Morse family.;)
