This is the year I am working toward equanimity of disposition, but confess am having no success letting go the ads for a hundred dollar 4-foot teddy bear. Dislike manipulation of men's wish to please their girl and guidance to buy the last thing she would want.
Women, what would you prefer for the hundred?
The ad includes flowers, chocolate, or a teddy bear. All dumb ways to spend $100. I want jewelry or perfume.
Men, the ad says the bear will make her think of you when you are gone.
I will tell you later what I would be thinking...

The Pajama-gram ad is missing this year and I expect the Teddy Bear will soon follow.

As a "gal" the last thing I would want is a giant teddy bear

That is funny Kitty....I think buying one of those for my wife would be redundant, as she has had one for 37 years....
My wife and I laugh about Valentine's Day....calling it "amatuer night". Tough to get a good restaurant, flowers cost double, etc, etc.
We generally will spend a nice quiet evening at home. I will cook some nice steaks on the grill, etc, and snuggle watching a good movie, or take a walk or a late night swim or jump in the hot tub.
I much rather buy her flowers for no reason spontaneously on a normal day. Or mail her a card on a normal day. I try to listen for "hints" of things she would like to do or have done. I have learned woman hardly ever just tell you what they want...you have to "tune into" them.....it's not always easy....
Anyway, Happy Valentine's day...!
