Listening to Sanders speech, I can't help but note it sounds strikingly similar to the speeches Fidel Castro gave after the revolution. Pretty much point by point, Bernie makes the same arguments that Fidel made over 50 years ago. The rich exploit the poor, free college education, free health care, the banks have too much power, blah, blah, blah. Hope it works out better for us than it did for the Cubans.

Bernie's flash in the pan will soon pass. Hilary will gain most of the normal states. Democrats aren't that STOOPID. Well at least everywhere else except the NE. I guess they're drinking lots of 3 mile island water up there.

Yo!
They are not voting for Bernie they are voting against Clinton.
The trend will continue.
She is being recognized as damaged and untrustworthy and the American people, including thinking democrats do not want her.
When she is finally determined to be not electable the Dems will pull her and bring Joe off the bench.

The pickings are meager among all the presidential candidates but Sanders, Clinton in my humble opinion are at the bottom of the list.
Who in their right mind would vote for a socialist and socialism? The only people I see in favor are slackers who can't or won't make the effort to improve their financial status. They are either so uninformed or lazy that they honestly believe that a redistribution of wealth will make them richer. but all socialism does is make us all poorer it has to do with ambition and incentives ,,,and well when as a person you have none well you either rob banks or rob your neighbor

The lazy liberals that can't stand the criminal or the socialist. They want to continue to ride the gravy train without having to be productive, yet can't stomach the evil twins running for their party.

Your second paragraph is off the mark. 2/3 of Democratic voters want single payer. 60% of Democratic voters are college graduates. These voters are not lazy or misinformed. New Hampshire is not Mississippi, or Louisiana. These people work or they would freeze, or stave to death.
Single payer isn't a redistribution of wealth. It is health insurance for everyone. It is never going to happen. It is campaign nonsense. The same as building a wall and Mexico will pay for it, 45% tariff, deport all illegal immigrants, or repealing Obamacare on their first day holding office. Stupidity isn't the sole beneficiary of either party. It is bipartisan.

No, Chitown. That is the wrong side of the street. Telemundo would be kind to Sanders. He probably listens to Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, or Breitbart. I would throw Beck in there, but Beck's circles always wind up with Hitler.

I do not have a solution only perhaps a different view.
People are irresponsible. A young healthy person figures they do not need heath insurance-so they do not pay for it. If, they are in a car crash-unfortunately a common event ARE WE PREPARED TO CHECK THEIR RECORDS AND IF THEY DON'T HAVE INSURANCE TAKE THEM TO THE TRASH DUMP ALIVE OR DEAD? Of course the answer is no. So what happens is the cost of their care, is added to the cost of the other people who do pay. An unspoken reason why healthcare is so expensive. Another issue-COST IS NOT POSTED FOR HEALTHCARE. How many of us have asked the cost? TRY IT. iN MOST CASES YOU WILL GET A DIRTY LOOK-THE DOCTOR WILL BE OFFENDED. What else do you buy without asking the price? Asking about better, or perhaps less expensive ways of dealing with whatever the problem is. Also, we have a LIBERAL VIEW when it comes to health care. Why should someone NOT PAYING FOR IT, get the same care as someone who is paying the bill? Why is their not a blind rating system for each doctor?

I don't know where you come from but the hospitals I have used, billed you whether or not you had insurance. And then if you don't pay, they sic the bill collectors on you. There is NO free health care that I know of, other than Medicaid for the poor.
The price of health care is also high because of how much doctors and hospitals have to pay for malpractice insurance. We need tort reform, something that wasn't even addressed in Obamacare. They purposely ignored it. Obama wants Obamacare to fail so that the gov can go to socialized medicine. Purchasing insurance through the Free Enterprise system across state lines would also have brought down the cost of insurance. Also not addressed on purpose. Both of these things were brought up by Republicans and discarded by the socialists in congress.
Now, with Obamacare, the poor are getting even more poor because if they do get insurance, they have to pay outrageous deductibles. Medicaid was expanded costing the taxpayer more money, but most will accept that part. But, the promise for insurance for all, cheaper for all is a myth perpetrated by Obama. We still have millions without health care insurance. Oh, and let's not forget the half trillion plus that was stolen from Medicare to pay for it.
You can take your Obamacare and stick it.

Thank you for making my point. Hitler, as head of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, was a socialist, same as Bernie. Hitler indeed did say all the things you said he said. Trump is a lot of things, but a socialist he is not. Other socialist like Bernie include Stalin, Lenin, Zedong, Guevara, Allende, Rousseff, Castro, Morales, Maduro, and Cavez. Maybe Bernie can do for us what these fine leaders did for their respective countries. How does standing in long lines to buy milk and toilet paper sound to you.

Look at the Scandanavian countries and they have Socialism. The citizens of those countries are among the happiest in the world.
I was on a recent cruise and spoke with a man from Denmark. He said they pay a 40 percent income tax which he admitted was a lot of money. But they receive GOOD free medical care. He had a knee replacement done and it did not require a long wait to be done nor did it cost him anything at all. He has 3 children who will receiving FREE college. He is receiving a very nice retirement pension that allows him to go on cruises and vacations. Workers get very generous paid vacation time.
The leaders you mentioned were dictators - sort of what Trump, Cruz, or Rubio want for themselves.

I think we all agree the system is broken.
I don't believe anyone would not agree that everyone wants but no one wants to pay.
Personal experience-years ago I had several blood tests done as ordered by my doctor. At the time we had AETNA insurance and they denied one of the several tests were necessary. They our bill as a private payer was about $300 for that test. AETNA would have paid $35 and the company doing the test would have gotten that as PAYMENT IN FULL. You would not want to be the person at QUEST trying to explain this to me. BY THE WAY-I paid the $35 that AETNA would have paid and QUEST accepted it as payment in full.
As to everyone wanting and wanting others to pay. I was self employed and healthcare insurance cost my family about 20,000. For those who work for government or companies that provide healthcare insurance WHY IS THAT 20,000 NOT TAXED AS INCOME?
Have you not noticed that is your insurance pays for say six weeks of physical therapy, you will get six weeks. Nothing magical will happen after the six weeks. In fact in the end they will show you how to do it yourself-something you could have found on the internet without seeing the therapist.
Re: hospitals billing you.
Fortunately we both have assets for collections to go after so we have insurance. For people who have nothing to loose they have no reason to pay.
As to OBAMACARE, we agree it has been a disaster. Our government decided to reinvent the wheel. Obama gave a speech that his plan would not affect people using healthcare, would not reduce a doctors income, would not reduce profits of the insurance companies, would not reduce income for attornies. Oh and he was going to pay for it all with computer record keeping-all doctors already had computer record keeping so as to deal with both government and private insurance.
WE DID NOT NEED TO REINVENT THE WHEEL we could have looked and found the rest of the industrial world gets similar life spans-some slightly more some slightly less AT HALF THE COST FOR MEDICAL CARE.

First of all Medicare and prescription drug coverage were added so Social Security WITH NO FUNDING.
We are all aware that OBAMA has doubled our national debt. If, you/we believe in Keynesian economic theory and that in a recession the government should run deficit spending to prop up the economy. We all agree that 10 TRILLION is a huge amount of money-In fact it is several train loads of hundred dollar bills.
Am I the only one to wonder WHAT DID WE BUY WITH THAT DEBT-a highways system-no, Hoover dam-no, Public parks-no-WHAT DID WE BUY?
RE; THIEFT
I recently discovered-we have been told that CHINA is our largest creditor nation. Fact is we owe just slightly more to Japan. For the big slight of hand-together Japan and China hold slightly less that 20% of our national debt. SOCIAL SECURITY HOLDS 42% OF THE NATIONAL DEBT. Obama has not only stolen you FORCED PAYMENT to social security but that of several generations after us. I DID NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA. REGRETTABLY, I'VE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO DID ADMIT THEY WERE WRONG-FAR AS I KNOW I WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL IN TALKING ANYONE OUT OF VOTING FOR OBAMA.

Big myth! You really should Google socialism in those countries and see how bad it really is. I did and it sucks. Taxes are so high, and EVERYONE pays them. Not like here where only the wealthy pay your taxes. Shoot, in our country, a family of four making $50k a year pays NO taxes. Everyone has to pay for socialism. It ain't free pie in the sky Obama Utopia. So, before parroting what someone else tells you, try Google and get some information on your socialism.

The cost of malpractice insurance is a pittance of the cost of health care.

So, a doctor paying over a hundred grand a year for malpractice insurance is not going charge more to cover the expense? You have been drinking too much of that fruit drink. Check out what Texas did for Tort Reform. They had doctors racing to move to their state. Perhaps, you should check it out rather than push the myth of Free emergency room service for those that don't have insurance.

When a person has a reading comprehension problem, one could say that person is "ignorant" but I won't accuse you. What part of "The price of health care is also high because....." did you not understand? The word "also" could be replaced with the word "contributed to" or "in addition to" but then you probably would still have problems with comprehension.
There are many reasons for health care costing so much. But, even though Obama promised everyone that their health care cost would go down, it really didn't, did it? As a matter of fact, it went up for just about everyone. Personally, I think that this was his plan.

Dear Guest: allow me to offer another point of view concerning this subject.
Once long ago in another era single payer health care was a way to expand access to the relative few things medical care could do for patients and hence it had appeal. Today the single payer system Sanders offers prospective voters would not expand access it would only serve to deny and limit care in order to control spending.
Obamacare gave many corporations the cover they needed to remove themselves from offering medical care as a benefit. Obama's excessive and unnecessary regulations have had a serious affect on the business environment and the economy. business people will not invest under these circumstances . say what you will but socialism by any other name Obamacare, climate change, income inequality single payer is a method of income redistribution.
And I'll put myself out there further by predicting that if Sanders prevails the only way he is going to be able to continue his insane push of socialism is by transforming this nation to a police state via laws. Unlike Denmark, etc where people only take what they need too many Americans have an affinity for free stuff and an entitlement mentality that tells them they can take as much as they like
Some one like Thomas Sowell or Jason Riley will explain that all the free stuff white liberals gave to blacks had an inverse effect. Golf is a game of contradictions and so is the issue of free stuff. It robs people of incentive and motivation and increases their demands for more entitlements.
Why do liberals continue to ignore the limits of nature and /or nature's natural laws?

Yes, taxes are very high - but your author agrees the Danes are a very contented people. Cradle to grave social services. Everyone pays the high taxes and everyone reaps the benefits.
As for your commentary on what liberals would want is only your speculation. You have to realize that system has been in place for years and years in Denmark. You cannot just flip a switch and - POOF, it is there. It has to be similar to a rheostat (that is a dimmer switch) and just dialed in very small increments to go from the lifestyle of America to that of Denmark. With the changes in political parties in America occurring e ery few years, the chances of turning our system to theirs is nil (that means zero).

You really didn't dig into it very deeply. Danes are not the happy people you think they are. High drug usage, rampant bestiality, alcoholism, rising crime rate, and no motivation to excel. And now they are welcoming refugees. Their country will be bankrupt in no time. No, they are not a very good example of socialism success. The more you read about them the more you realize that they are very depressing.
No, my statement about liberals is not speculation. It is an opinion based on facts. Your statement about "everyone pays high taxes and everyone reaps the benefits" is just plain mythical Utopia. Besides, what they have would not even come close to working in America. We are way too large and have way too many folks that want to exploit others. We also have a very diverse culture involving many religions, races and ambitions. You would have to have a stagnant environment to even consider their system of socialism.

My Swedish cousins came to visit for a week not long ago. They really like the United States but are very happy in their home country. Not since my grandmother in the early 1900's have any other of my Swedish relatives moved here. She married well here but still talked about the "old country" with fondness. My grandparents:

Supposedly, one out of five males have experience it in that country. There is eve supposed to be special establishments dedicated to providing that service for a fee. As far as places that I wished to see in my lifetime, Demark was positioned just above Haiti on the list.
And we care about this why?

I don't know. Why do you care? If not, then why bring it up? Or, do you even remember? I don't care. Do you care? No? Then what's the point? Why are you responding?

Old man Sanders thought he just won the lottery. He got up this morning and was caught by the secret service attempting to gain entry to the White House. He thought that he had won the election and was the new president. When he saw Obama, he thought he was the butler and demanded that he carry his luggage. Rumor is that he had already invited Putin to his inaugural ball. Sanders' first executive order is to rename our country, USSA, the United Socialist States of America. Every president is required to own a dog, so he is going to have two. He is going to name them Karl and Marx.

Look it up. It was mentioned when I was reading about all their other problems, and exposing of the myth that they are the happiest country on Earth. They are trying to outlaw bestiality. Supposedly, one out of five males have experience it in that country. There is eve supposed to be special establishments dedicated to providing that service for a fee. I wonder if they use red lights to mark the district.
Sounds sort of like Kentucky or West Virginia, doesn't it?

You live in a dream world. Maybe you should move to Denmark for a decade or so too and give us a report. Greece used to get all the freebies
You dream about too until they went broke. Look at them now.

You are welcome. Trump is a lot of things, but not a socialist. So, comparing Trump to Hitler is right on the mark. Hitler really turned the German economy around in a very short of time. That is what Trump is selling. Hitler did it by spending a lot of money on the military. Again, that is what Trump is selling, making the military great again, so all countries will respect and fear us. Hitler had the Jews to blame for all the sins of the world on. Trump has illegal immigrants, and Muslims. If it wasn't for that war thing, Hitler might have gone down as one of the greatest leaders ever (lol). Here is hoping that Trump doesn't get that chance.
Comparing Trump to Hitler makes about as much sense as comparing Sanders to those Communist leaders. Communist leaders aren't the same as Socialist leaders. We keep on going around the circle that Communism and Socialism are one in the same. No one will ever convince you that they are not. Who, in their right mind, would ever think that the US Senate, and House would ever approve the programs that Sanders is throwing out there? If you haven't noticed, throwing out there campaign nonsense isn't the sole owner of one party. It is bipartisan.

The problem with your diatribe is that Hitler and his nazis were socialists. Look up the meaning of Nazi. It doesn't matter that Hitler was fighting the communists, which are also socialists. He did so for power. He also fought everyone else too.
