Auto Transport...anyone use Montway? Or other services?

If so, who did you use and what did you pay, from The Villages to where?

I have a quote from Montway Transport for less than $600 to put the car on a truck and take it to our Ohio home, the one we live in when we're not in The Villages.

But I'm wondering about their reliability. Anyone else use Montway?

Or another service?

EVERY one I checked out, when I Googled for reviews, got really terrible stories about them. In all of Florida, isn't there ONE auto transport to Ohio that doesn't have horror stories. I don't mean one malcontent bitching. I mean dozens giving specific, terrible problems they have with auto transport of their cars.

I may have to take the auto/train again. It costs less than the auto transport, but then I'm still 7 hours from home after sleeping on the train all night.

Life is never simple, is it?

You’re correct that most have horrendous reviews. One poster suggests Reliable Carriers. They have a decent score but they too have some very horrible reviews. If you’re willing to spend a few extra dollars call Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale. I have a home in Scottsdale and I attend their auctions from time to time. The transporters waiting outside to transport the winning bidders cars are some of the best in the industry. You can imagine the transporter one uses to ship home their new $5 million dollar toy. They have semis with the interiors all padded in velvet to ship just one car. If anyone knows a good transporter, Barrett Jackson does.
