I have a walker , must walk , I am assuming about 5am or earlier in the morning. Leaves notes under paper, "Your post light is out"
or left a paper highlighted in yellow on my car, that broke down , so I left it in the street waiting for a tow at 7 am, this person left a paper
"advising me that the villages do not let you park your car in the street!
Well, my linkage to my transmission cable broke , had to leave it there to be towed properly.
I think this is an invasion of my property and privacy.,.
I know when my bulb burns out or the villages regs etc....!!!
Anyone have any advice how I should handle this? I am about ready to
bait this person and confront them , and I guarantee they will not like it
at all. Know I am not looking for violence..
But this is getting under my skin ... a lot.. Happened again this week and
I have a really bad sinus infection.. Could not get out , but went out
and replaced the bulb,, you need a ladder for this post light.. and replaced it
Would appreciate any advice.. PS I do not get up that early.. but
if I have to I will.. oh ...
Village of Largo.. and if the person responsible gets to read this..
Cut it out now!!!! Who made you the sheriff !!???
Thank you all

Ignore them. Don't let people like that cause You to blow a gasket. For fun place a lawn ornament with a small hand written note that reads, " smile your on candid camera!". It would be priceless to see their face. LOL

or it could be community watch in which case all the notes are valid deed restriction notices.....

Live and let live.
If my light was out I probably would not know it for a few days as I am not out a lot at night.

The Walker has now explained he does it to be helpful, not with the intention of being intrusive.
I'm sorry that you found his actions so upsetting.
Do not get up early and "confront him".
Take a deep breath, chill, and ignore him. Life is too short to get bubbles in your pee about someone leaving notes.
And if you are in a house, and not a Villa, it's not against the law to leave your car in the street
(unless you are blocking fire and emergency vehicles).

Everyone neighborhood has a perfect person that lives here to point out how imperfect we are. You could always leave a counter note, here is the bulb change it if it bothers you.

Love asianthree's suggestion.....leave the bulb and let him change it if it bothers him! Life is much too short to allow an unknown "bully" to ruin your day! If he would leave positive notes like, "Your flowers are lovely!" he could make the world a better place 1 person at a time!

I doubt it is community watch, because parking is allowed on TV neighborhood streets.

Take the light bulb out and leave a thank you note under your previous day's paper...

as long as it doesn't impede traffic or emergency vehicles from reaching their goal you can park on the street till the cows come home.

hmmm...maybe a strategically placed "trail cam" like hunters use would provide some insight.

but burnt out pole lights are not and are a cause for CW to inform you.

I guess then it couldn't be community watch, huh fred?
but don't park a boat, rv or 3/4 ton truck or bigger.

I thought there is an allowance of up to 72 or 48 hours for RVs. I see them quite often around TV.

Did you expect their answer to be correct when they were only half right :loco: when they picked a name to use here? :icon_bored:

I like Outlaw's suggestion regarding leaving a note for them. --- BUT, I would also make sure it had a liberal coating of honey on it to show just how sweet you think their little notes are.

Nobody ever lets me know when our post light goes out. Come to think of it about 6 houses on our street have no post light.

Could it be that the person who is walking in the dark thinks that the lights on the post are in place so people who are walking in the dark can see to walk safely? Then he goes on to think that the people who have a burned out light are unaware they have a burned out light which is a safety issue. Maybe he is trying to help people who do not see to well or walk to steady.
Some people believe they should not be out in the sun for health reasons. Right or wrong I have a neighbor who works in the yard after dark.
I hope this sheds some light on the issue.

Love that suggestion. That would violate the deed restrictions in most Villages though. But it would probably get this walker to look at the note as well.
