One thing about Obama winning, we won't have to listen to the media bashing the president 24/7/365 from day one. Congrats Obama.

I hope the networks didn't make a mistake and award The 55 California delegates to Obama as soon as the polls closed in California.

The hot election in California was not the presidential race but Prop 8 about gay marriages. Everyone was so concerned about that issue, maybe they forgot to vote for the president!

I am so proud of this country!

That was absolutely my first thought too! Yeah! :a040: We finally have a PRESIDENT! :)

He will soon be put to the real test. There is not a soul alive other than a past President who knows why a President does or doesn't do something....and sometimes cannot reveal why or why not. And until such time as BHO is sworn in and wears that mantle of responsibility, he has not measure yet either (nor would McCain).

Getting elected was the easy part.

Now, delivering on the promises of change(s) is significantly more difficult.

Where we are as a nation one year from today will be much more important than today both at home and abroad.

BHO was elected on promises made. The real and ONLY true measure of the man will be based on promises kept and performance delivered here at home and abroad.

As politicians go, and unfortunately incumbents and experience have proven time and time again ....talking the talk is all it takes to satisfy too many of we the people.

I anxiously await the dialogue to shift from see what Bush did not do to what BHO has done. Promises kept is the only measure all the rest is just.....POLITICS!!!

The measure will not be did he do a better job than his predecessors (note the plural!)...only did he do what he said he was going to do.

We shall see.

You finally have a Socialist with a Marxist bent. That's not progress, that's failure.

I am sad for my country today. Soon you will realize buyer's remorse. I'm just exercising my right to free speech as long as it lasts.

Oh well, at Michele can now be 'proud of her country.'

I agree with this. No matter who won. The country came out in full force.

Do you mean, like the way President William Jefferson Clinton was bashed every day, for 8 years, on conservative right radio stations? Is that what you mean?

It's quite obvious, you're not proud of your country!

Hey BTK, I notice you can not even allow yourself to call the President Elect by his name Barack Obama. You don't refer to McCain as JSM, why is that?

Yes we are. That's why I love this country, and also why I love posting in TOV and the political forum. God Bless all of you in here. :highfive:
